Hmm suddenly Im in the mood to buy the 1/4 HD 1002... but its sheer size and shipping nightmares is scaring me. Id rather go with the HD 1001 for that size and stuff... The fact is that it being a statue scares me for breakage and stuff... one break like and its ruined...

Just keep your money and wait for better offer from HT or EB man. The 1/4 HD 1002, doesnt really look like Bruce IMO. The one that Arnie photographed looks like Bruce. No idea what happen during the production
The 1002 is very light, shipping shouldn't be too bad. Just check the return policy of your seller in the event that it arrives broken or damaged.

Yes and I think that's the one Hydeous got that ended up falling forward too. I was never keen on that choice of pose for a statue so I did pass on it, and by the looks of the new statue in progress I may be passing on that as well.

Hahaha you mean the HD1003 (WoTD lats spread), I havent heard much complaints about the HD1002 though. Everyone says its brilliant.
BTW I dunno if you checked this thread, but I finally MANAGED to catch the EtD verB sculpt, along with the Nokia GoD and bash a WoTD with the FoF calm head and WoTD hairpiece! My long ordeal is over
I know, the only thing that bothers me is that if it arrives broken or damaged itll probably be due to my Indian Postal Service and Customs etc etc, cant blame the seller and wouldnt like to penalise him for no fault of his own... even if I get a refund and lose on return shipping, the seller will be stuck with a broken statue he cant sell
Ah the pain/anxiety/paranoia of buying statues now... This hobby has ruined me. Everytime I think, Ok now Im done and can rest... some wierd thing I never considered suddenly creeps up and nags me and takes precedence...

True there isn't much you can do about that but ask the seller to put giant "FRAGILE" stickers all over it. However, there really isn't much they can screw up since it's just 2 pieces. I guess they could tears the pants or something but it since the upper torso is not clothed it wouldn't require them to really play with it that much. I guess it's a crap shoot for ya.

Since its a statue, what Im worried is the throwing around the postal service do with boxes means some pressure somewhere and crack... one of the arms break... a new seam comes up altogether... for a statue, any little blemish or seam stands out a lot.
Well lets see... Im NOT buying anything until I get the Batman Exclusive from Sideshow in hand

Both the HD-1002 (EtD) and HD-1003 (WoftD) are freaking awesome.
The HD-1003 does have a strange balance problem that you can correct by putting wedges under the feet - mine leans too far back, others lean too far forward. So strange that a neutral vertical pose caused problems but the dynamic off balance pose of HD-1002 is fine.
I wouldn't worry about shipping damage too much. They are made of a super hard plastic. Honestly, it would actually be very hard to damage them - even a tumble of a high shelf wouldn't do anything.
