I do it for the lolz?! :slap

I was wondering about the chances that HT will release any future Bruce Lee figures as exclusives with an additional body, as they are doing with DX04...

I guess if they make them DX as well, there might be a very high chance of that happening.

Now you got me wondering, if the 2 new figs the announced are 1/6, will they be DX or regular version? The thing is that all of Enterbay Bruce's have the movable eye feature and for Hot Toys to release them without that, it might make the figure feel slightly dated.

Of course, the sculpts wont be dated. So who knows, just thinking about all the possibilities just made my brain feel tired.

Can you imagine the uproar if every Bruce was to be a DX? It'd start with the Keaton Bats fans, then turn into a tidal wave of indignation, wailing and moaning:lol

I tend to agree though, having just one of a number of figures as a DX with PERS and leaving the others with painted eyes might very well detract from the whole line. Some might see multiple DX Bruces as dinting the exclusivity of the DX brand, but as far as I'm concerned it's needed for consistency across the figures.

I bet they'll start crying. I personally dislike any superhero figure based on a movie.

But anyways, I don't recall Hot Toys releasing a figure with two bodies recently. They certainly have released a good amount of figures that have 2 complete different outfits and headsculpts.

Maybe it is due to the fact that since they use regular TrueType bodies, they would rather have the people try and get one. But since the Bruce body is unique, they opted for an exclusive. So I guess if they give the figures those display options, they might do exclusive sets again.

Either way, people will buy them (I would).

Yeah use an open mouth pic and an unclenched jaw pic to prove your point.
There is no aspect ratio distortion in my screen caps as the film was in 2.35:1. I have already posted the full video to prove I did not distort anything

Actually if you want to see how different Bruce's face shape can change check this out.

Dino, I know you didn't distort anything. I am aware the 2.35:1 is the OAR for GOD.

I was pointing out that the source material you posted was distorted. The footage you posted was from the HKL SE 2 DVD set featuring the digitally restored missing footage of GOD. I believe HKL was the first to release the footage to the masses. I have a copy of this and was disappointed when I discovered a squished image caused by a poor digital transfer.

Check out both videos and compare at the same time 4:06.

Pause at 4:06 and you will see there is nothing distorted about that picture.

I don't mind if they pump out every Bruce as a DX. Since Hot Toys is a Hong Kong company, every one of their products have been either American or Japanese based character, and Bruce is Chinese after all...albeit being Chinese American.

Every Bruce Lee figure needs PERS,because of the posing possibilities. The Smiling sculpt HT will release doesn't need PERS though.

That appears to be another 1:4 scale sculpt...it looks like it's mounted atop an aerosol can, not a bottle cap. You know, I re-read Hot Toys' announcement that more Bruce Lee figures would be coming, and they showed the first smiling 1:4 sculpt at the same time, but did they ever actually say the smiling sculpt would be reduced in size and used for a figure at 1:6?

it indeed looks like it is on an aerosol cap, I hope not tho', I want a HT 1/6 GOD version, haha

Yes, they did not specify the scale, but I doubt they wont release a GoD. This might be a bust or whatever 1/4 format they have, but they eventually do a 1/6 scale one.
