Between this and Serenity, Universal has got to be wondering how movies can be so anticipated by the fanboys all over the internet yet still perform so poorly at the box office. Somewhere in Hollywood right now, there's a guy in a suit screaming, "I don't understand! They loved it at Comic Con!!!"

Bad box office for these films will lead to the death of comic con as a source to be trusted with Hollywood. Kick ass should have kicked box office ass and didnt....this movie should be and isnt.......WTF! Frustrates me in ways I cannot put into words...

What happened to Geek power.....everyone is too busy illegally downloading stuff to bother to go see a legit movie anymore. Perhaps a bit of an exagerration, but at my job alone I would say 15% 'trade' movies that are coming out in theaters or dvd

Disagree
Just because you get a buzz for a movie at Cannes, doesn't mean the film will be a success, but still it's a source to be trusted. Same goes for Comic Con, the movie business would be fools to start ignoring such a prestigious event, especially if they are going for the geek market.

Problem with this and Kick-Ass is that they were poorly marketed to the older generation, the ones who normally go to the Theater.
The Films older Geeks like myself enjoy like Star Wars were a success, because my Dad wanted to see them just as much as I did.

I saw this today and I enjoyed it. As a semi-fan of the book series, I think the film was as faithful as it could be given its 2-hour running time. The cast was good at delivering quips that could have sounded forced if done by a lesser ensemble. my crush on Edgar Wright's filmography continues.

It's so imaginative and unique in its world that I did feel a twinge of sadness while watching it, thinking that a film this creative should be seen by more people. I hope it has long legs. I hope people who enjoyed it tell their friends about it and so on and so forth.

Just got back from it! I enjoyed it immensely, and am a fan of the books. I rate it a 7,000,000,000 out of 10!!!!!! :rock

Saw the movie Tuesday night and thought it was great. Liked the song the first ex sings, liked ex 2, and ex 3 especially the bass battle. Overall its a movie worth seeing again. Also liked hearing the Zelda songs/tones during different parts of the movie, plus M.E.W. was good to look at as well.

Anybody else think it was hilarious and just a bit ironic that (spoiler) the vegan-Ray the vegan police used against Brandon Routh's character was green like Kryptonite? :lol

I've barley seen or heard anything about this film in KY... and the trailer I did see instatley made me go... "It'll be a rental"

I saw this last Friday and loved every second of it. I cannot wait to see it again! A must own for me, and that is rare.

Didn't even notice it was Superman until I was watching the black sheep video on youtube.

I'm hoping to see this again this weekend. I've got a fever and the only thing that can cure it, is more of this movie! :rock

Lame.

My wife's birthday is on Friday and she wants me to take her to see this one.
