I can see the SS Superman 1/6 has a slightly big head, but it doesn't show in that proto pic.

Besides of their bodybuilder physique and ignoring the stylized versions of the characters, why shouldn't superheroes have natural proportions? :lol

There's a guy called Kai Greene, he makes McGuinness' designs look like couch potatoes :lol

because (to me) they transcend being normal, hence "super" and "Hero" ... :lol

I think if the head was even 5% smaller it would be good. I really want to get these but the head size is putting me off.

If you can truly visualize a 5% smaller head in your mind, or in reality, my hat's off to you ! :lol

I'm a creative director in my day job. So yes I can visualize it, work it out in photoshop, etc. I would buy the 5% reduced version in a heartbeat.

I'm not trolling believe me I really want to get these and I might take the leap and grab Batman. From the pics there are a lot of things that look very cool about it so I'm sure I won't hate it, but I also think the head size might bother me. Just as the Pinhead on HT Dutch bothered me to the point that I had to get a Terminator head customized.

Accuracy in scale and proportions is just one of those pet peeves. I did a quick lookup -- proportions for the average human male is about 7-1/7 heads, proportions for an idealized body is 8 heads, and proportions for a superhero are 8-1/2 heads. So it is a matter of what system is being employed. I would guess the PFs are using Superhero proportions (8-1/2 heads) and the 1/6 are using idealized proportions (8 heads).

You're probably right - but I think the 1/6 figures are better served by more realistic proportions. They fit in better with the rest of my collection.

Not a 1/6 kind of guy, I'd probably get a Spidey when they get to him, but this DP kinda looks cool and interesting.

Can't make up my mind about this costume, though. How do people feel about this baggy costume? I haven't seen this in the comics. It's like the mechanic jump suit version of his costume underneath a bunch of accessories.

I noticed that too. Superheroes are always in tight spandex, even the Batman PF saggy arpmit looks so much better when it was tight.

This just went up for PO at our official SSC dealer and the price made my eyes open wide. I then remembered that the US$ is in a several-year high versus our local currency.

Oh well. It's a good thing that I have more than a year to save up for this.

Long term saving dont work for me now that I'm starting this 1:6 hobby. There's always some good offer that comes along and rob me blind.

I was really excited for this line but the price point is insane. I don't look at this and see almost $300 (if I ordered direct with tax and Shipping). If the entry into the line is this price it'll be interesting to see how the board reacts at the $299 Spider-Man a year from now or the $325 comic styled Iron Man.

Absolutely this figure in no way is worth any where near what theyre asking. Im at my end with collecting these. Gotta find something cheaper

I won't get everything, way too expensive to collect them all,but I did order Deadpool.though I'll end up just getting my favs like Cap,Thor,Doom,IM,Spidey

I was on that same thought but I can't see myself putting this down for even Spidey or Iron Man. The only ones I could feel comfortable putting this much cash down on are ones that I wouldn't get elsewhere. For example someone like Superior Spider-Man or Spider-Man 2099 for example or even Modular 1990s Iron Man which won't be made anywhere else and that's a logical stretch even.

I wonder how SSC would even handle something like Iron Man. Guy in an armored suit like their clones, maybe?

I would imagine any armored figure would follow the Clones patterning, hell I would imagine Iron Man himself will follow the Clones patterning offering up a bunch of variants.

Holy **** Spiderman 2099, Doom, and Thor would be awesome. Thor and his full beard, helmet, long hair, and fur shoulder cape would be absolutely amazing.

I don't think any other company would come out with a Deadpool that has great detail and those funny comic bubbles. That's why Deadpool will be my one and only figure from this line. The bubbles caught my attention and sets this figure apart from the rest.
