I was excited for this, but my want level for this figure is fading.

I think it was the Marvel figure I wanted most in the SSC line when they were revealed, but now I think I want Wolverine & Punisher more.

I was definitely after this guy but seeing the Deadpool movie teaser from SDCC I may just wait for the HT version. The look in the movie is great but then I also love this design that SSC has went with.

Not quite...HT had to get rights from the individual actors instead of a blanket license from FOX and that was before the Disney/FOX feud

I've always preferred HT to SSC for 1/6 but I think they did a hell of a job with this figure. I have no real interest in this, but it looks great.

I think the only reason they didn't was cause the movie changed directors... they were probably waiting to see if DOFP was successful, but then got bombarded with a million other licenses.

or could be do to whatever license issues Fox and Marvel have going on right now in terms of action figures etc.

I would really like to see a Deadpool based off the movie (as that trailer really got me excited for the movie)

Drax was a seperate issue and has been explained.

The issue with first class was not a directors issue but was due to fox not securing likeness rights for the actors. And then most major actors declined to allow any merchandise with their individual likeness.

I hope sideshow does a double take release and give us a grey n black version Deadpool also and it would be easy money maker release for sideshow. Still patiently waiting for the Wolverine release.
