Dome size/shape aside, the SDCC photos show a better proportion of the overall head/helmet and chest armor to the body. The new sneak peek photo makes it look like the head and armor are undersized.

And it's great that Alex stopped by!

Too bad no pre-order though.

What makes you think that? It's just a prototype. Not even a production sample. The pic says "Prototype shown. Final production may vary."

The problem with the helmet, again as it was with Sideshow's first Vader, is not so much a problem with the shape but with its placement. The back of the helmet really should be low enough to fall below his shoulders, as illustrated here:

None of the con shots have a straight on angle to the helmet, the ANH helmet looked great from other angles but always looks bad from a front on view unless you get really low angled. If this is an untouched photo, then the in hand piece should look a little better, I always felt ANH Vader photographed worse than he looked to the eye, but it still won't be the Vader most want it to be. I wouldn't say this is a lousy photo, but a flawed figured with it's issues magnified by the camera. An if this is a PS job, much like having an unfinished proto at SDCC, I would wonder what the point is.

I agree... in person it really does not look as bad as photos would suggest. However, a few tweaks to the shape, size and angle would have made a big difference.

Teasers aren't always (and should not be treated anymore) as indicators as when an item is going up for Pre-Order. They are just fun content to continue showing upcoming items to fans.

Yeah aside from this Vader, which isnt even going up for PO during Spook, Im waiting to see if they will reveal the HT Ichabod Crane, if not then Im going to assume that figure is dead in the water.

What about the shoddy nature of the pic Alex? Clearly something wasn't right with whoever set Vader up for that picture. Dome issue aside, Vader is not assembled. Why would SSC let a pic out like that?
