Which I might add Leia fully accepted, I loved that!

She of all people knew that hope required sacrifices from everyone from RO to Ackbar to Holdo to Luke to Han to herself.

There's a beauty to Leia's final moments in TLJ on multiple levels:

1. Totally unbeknownst to Johnson he wrote scenes that would allow proper closure to her character in light of Carrie's real life death. We got to see her pass the torch of leadership to Poe verbally on screen, she acknowledged that other characters can relieve her of the need to spout catchphrases like "May the Force Be with You," and she got to wash her hands of Kylo Ren leaving nothing unresolved between him and her in Episode IX.

2. Also her reaction to Luke's intentions were an awesome tribute to the legacy of Han Solo.
A. Kylo assists with the destruction of six planets. Leia: "Bring our son home."
B. Kylo kills Han. Leia: "He's gone, do what you've gotta do."

That's pretty awesome, lol.

I just can't get over this movie.

I've seen a million bad movies in my life. I've been disappointed countless times.

But never anything like this. It's been months and I still just feel ****ING RAGE every time I think about it. I've never detested a movie with such vitriol in my life.

It's just a movie. Why can't I just let it go and forget about it? Why do I keep torturing myself? I'm like a dog that **** on the floor an my owner rubs my nose in the **** to teach me a lesson, but I'm rubbing my OWN nose in the ****! I'm doing it to myself!! Why??

Why do I hate this goddamn movie so much?? Why do I come to this thread every day just to get my blood boiling?? This piece of **** movie is gonna end up being the death of me. I'm gonna give myself a stroke hating this movie so hard.

.......I've never hated a movie so much. In fact, I've never hated anything this much. I've never hated a person or a disgusting food or even a concept or idea or anything even remotely conceivable as much as I hate this movie. I want to kill this movie. This movie needs to simply not be, on any plane of existence.

I felt the rage too, for about a month. Then I accepted that it is what it is and there's nothing that can be done about it.

TLJ destroyed any enthusiasm I had left for Star Wars. I just laugh at the memes now.

My brain just refuses to accept it. I'm trying to make sense of it.

How does the largest media conglomerate that ever existed take the single most beloved film franchise in human history (not an exaggeration) and with almost unlimited resources at their disposal.........don't even bother to make a STORY BIBLE for a planned trilogy???

I think my brain is BLEEDING. It's screaming for logic...some sense....but there's nothing. Just chaos.

Only my son could guilt me into taking him to see Solo, but so far he's said he doesn't care. He'll give in to peer pressure from his friends before I do.

I probably will see it as it has no ties to the dreadful ST, but not opening day or even weekend. I'll let my friends be the daring guinea pigs. And they hated TLJ too.

I want to wait to hear and read about the hate 1st...

For all I know the hate for Solo will actually be justified and if so I'll just add it to the pile of bad prequels that already exists. But you guys will be there, you all know that you will. Heck you've *already* backpedaled and declared that you'll "probably" be seeing it.

I'll definitely be seeing Solo, I genuinely want it to be good and based on trailers I think it has a chance. Episode 9, doesn't matter at this point. 7 and 8 aren't part of my canon.
