But physical strength doesn't have much to do with lifting Mjolnir, right? At least, that wasn't the case in the comics. Cap wielded it once :horror

I would have really like to have seen Hulk grab Thor's hand after he picked Mjolnir back up and beat him with his own hammer like he did in the comics.

I think it would have just helped show the Hulk isn't just a mindless smash machine. He can't pick up the hammer, but he can pick up Thor's hand that is hold it :lol

Yeah, you get this movie. :hi5:

I wish Thor's battle with Hulk was longer, but maybe it's for the better.

Director's cut my man, they can't give us all the goods...yet
I also loved the shot after Captain America gives them their orders and Thor spins his hammer and takes off. To me, it would be easy to say "Thor can fly." It's more interesting that he throws his hammer and hangs on while it takes him for a ride.

Isn't that a nod to old school Thor? Its been along time, but on the old 70's Thor cartoons didn't he fly by spinning/throwing Mjolnir?

Unfortunately, there is validity to this. :(

But I choose to ignore it and focus on the humor and crazy action, which fortunately elevates this to my favorite Marvel movie, with Thor and IM1 tied for 2nd.

In an odd sort of way, and especially after reading that write up on Marvel's plans for the Hulk in the future, and even going as far as making him their corporate mascot. This felt a lot like the pre Avengers films when Shield would show up and they were trying to link them all together, only they were using the Avengers to launch Hulk's fresh start now.

I think they have honestly been surprised by the response Hulk has been getting. Shortly before the premiere, Feige was talking about how they were going to take their time with Hulk and maybe hold him back as a special guest in Avenger sequels. A few weeks later, everybody loves Hulk, Ruffalo has signed a six picture deal, and we're likely to get a Hulk movie in 2015.

The Hulk has actually had a long history and held a series at one time, they just keep putting him in crap movies, now he finally had a chance to shine without them trying to develop a mastercrap story to support it. We all know who the Hulk is and we all know what we want to see him do, it was time for them to let him loose.

So so true.

It's funny how things work out.

I'm really happy for Marvel. they went thru a ton of stress with their 2 previous Hulk movies.

Poor to moderate box office.

____ Norton.

Louis Letterier siding with Norton.

Louis Letterier begging for the Avengers directing spot.

Louis Letterier not getting the directing spot. :lol

True.

But I was just as interested in Banner this time out as much as the Hulk.

Success Marvel.

I thought Norton was a good Banner, but Ruffalo is a great Banner. Hes got the Banner down like I think RDJ has Stark down. Eric Bana was the brappiest Banner ever, way too much of a badass to be Banner to me.

Yeah, Bana should've just wore his Troy armor when playing Banner. :lol

One of the best scenes in the movie was the one between Ruffalo and Harry Dean Stanton.

One of many.

That's the thing woff, you are 100% right about the loss of tension after the first Hulk out, but the movie overcomes that with so many golden moments, so much fun that it's easy to just lose yourself and get engaged and then just go with the flow, and enjoy it.

Of course definitions of fun differ. :1-1:

Yeah!! :rotfl

Nah, he's got all the right to feel that way. I think he's dead wrong mind you but he's more than welcomed to feel that way.:peace

Yeah, I was joking, I love to do that. :lol

Afterall, I do live in lolcat city.

You know what, I actually agree with what woff is saying, but i'm able to overcome that and still consider this movie a big win and a milestone for superhero movies.

Titanic is going down again. :lol
