Looks much better than I expected.

Pattinson's voice, just something seems really fitting for Batman, to me at least. I thought I lost all hope for good Batman movies, could it be rekindling? Didn't expect to care about him as Batman.

Looks very creepy, like somebody combined Se7en and Batman.

After seeing the Suicide Squad game trailer, I’m really hating the race swap on Gordon here. Deadshot wasn’t black before Will Smith so there wasn’t any reason to make him black in that game - especially after they established him as a White guy in the previous Arkham games. I fear Gordon’s casting in this will do the same to Gordon. I haven’t seen a white Nick Fury in anything since the MCU started. There’s whole generations of kids that have no idea Fury looked like an unshaven Reed Richards in an eyepatch before the Ultimates comics and MCU.

I’m fine with them changing things here and there as one offs, but I hate it when these changes become the new status quo and they forgot about the original looks.

If 89 Batman were made today Joker would fall into the paint mix acid and come out looking black then have to smear white face makeup on him lol

I’m sorry Robert.

I love how unstable he looks. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing this.

While I agree with you and always imagined Redford or Eastwood being a Nick Fury over anything SLJ has brought to the table. The actor matters the most. It is bad when it is forced, and you can tell it. But Jeffrey Wright is an incredible actor that brings the qualities that you want in a Gordon. And Zoe feels like a Catwoman to me. Just seeing Matt Reeves talk about Batman, I do trust him at this point.

I always wondered if Billy Dee?s Harvey Dent might have taken the black and white look to the extreme and had him half white after the acid attack.

I?m sure Wright will do just fine as Gordon, he?s a great actor. He would have been a fantastic Lucius. I guess I?m just really bummed Cranston got passed up again for Gordon.

I used to feel the same way but I like to think of these movies as just another alternate Earth (something that they are soon to make cannon). It doesn't take away from the original character, it just adds to it. I mean, they could even make a black Superman and it wouldn't be as far-fetched considering Earth 23.

Gordon was white in Whedon JL and he absolutely did nothing and sucked lol

Oh I agree. And I’m totally fine with that. It just seems once they make changes like this, going back to their original looks is harder and suddenly racist in this day and age. There’s plenty of room for multiple interpretations of the characters.

The less said about Whedon’s JL the better but I really did like JK’s look. He’s the closest we’ve ever got to a classic comic Gordon. Glorified cameo at best. I think he, and everyone else, was hoping it was a foot in the door for this movie when it was still Snyderverse attached.

The time between each iteration of Batman gets smaller and smaller. Filmmakers just want to break the mold to get away from other interpretations just blending together.

Think we will get a Hot Toys 1/6 version of this Batmobile? They've been pretty consistent with releasing Batmobiles outside the 66 so far.
