Well I just went home and opened him up. Not only is he scratched in several places but his right arm is almost completly broken off. I will take pictures tonight.

That sux bro. Sounds like he took a nice tumble somewhere.

Mine didn't really have scratches, it was just paint that was rubbed off. I almost hope SS needs pics so I can show you all how bad this is.

well i just opened mine. 373 and there is one itty bitty scratch on his back but thats it. totally cant see it unless you really look. so thank the maker :chew

I have only one thing to say, and I'm only gonna say it here, because I begin to feel like a broken record after a while. Please feel free to repeat as necessary... So listen up

Please (please please) do not believe everything you read on the internet. If YOU receive a piece that has visible damage, PLEASE contact our customer service/returns department before panicking because of what someone on a message board has posted.

Per information from our Returns Department, damaged Stealth Iron Mans will be replaced on a first come, first served basis in the normal fashion - IF an email with photos and all pertinent information (name, order number, etc.) is received by our returns department. Don't dilly-dally, start the process immediately, as soon as you open the box. Here is the link to our 30 Day Return Policy if you don't know where to begin: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=returns (please note, there are different procedures depending on your location)

Please allow at least 2-3 business days for a response. If you send in your photos/email once, there is no need to send the same request repeatedly, as every email ties up the process even longer.

We know that it's fun to get out the torches and pitchforks and run with conspiracy theories against the evil corporation. Heck, we do it ourselves But, honest, Sideshow is not out to swindle you or take your money and run. We always try to make things right, and when things aren't perfect, we do our best as a team to make them at least a little better. It just sometimes takes a few days when lots of stuff is shipping. So thank you for your patience

Don't bring Dusty into this, though. She's in the internet content department at SSC and has nothing to do with QC or issues like this. She's cool to chime in and hang with us here and be a liason of sorts, but let's not abuse that.

Not to worry, Sideshow is WELL aware of this issue. It's going to cost them a ton of $$$, so I'm sure something will be done about it beyond just taking care of the customers.

Mine hasn't shipped yet, which I am hoping is a good thing.

Everyone is allowed to make a mistake, and there is certainly no issue with that. From what I understand, this isn't the first time SS has had such problems, which to me suggests they haven't learned from theirs...

i have ordered several statues much more fragile than the Ironman Comiquette from other companies and they come in perfect. Please Sideshow, as soon as your contract with your recent QC factory ends, switch.

Someone @ Statue Forum posted that a SS rep told him over the phone that it would be +/- 5 months before new replacements can be distributed.All the ones they had have been accounted for so if you got in early you my be lucky.

I've only had to return one item and they didn't ask but it sounds like they are asking others.

I hope whoever thought to put that plastic piece of **** in there as 'protection' gets some well deserved time off.

I think SS has changed their returns policy because I have been asked to send pictures of the base with the edition size and damage on my last 4 PF returns.

I wonder what will the response time be....if they are normally 5-10 days behind for "normal" return issues are they to 21-30 days behind now??

Dude I really don't know how this happened. I mean I do I just don't understand the mind set. Lets cover something in grease and not design the foam trays to fully keep the statue held down. That way the grease will make it slide more easly and hopefully not cause any rubs. I dare not blame anyone but the packaging was sorely lacking. I don't think you should be able to move the statue at all when picking the box up. It was obviously moving around in there freely.
