There really isn't. A lot of kids in college participate in free internships to build their skills. I had one for a semester in my second year of engineering, but decided my time was worth money I wasn't being paid

I think trade schools are different. They are not as expensive as colleges and not as worthless as some degrees can be. Trade schools are small and cheaper. Theres no "200" dollars for one text book or "500 bucks per class" either lol. College forces you to take electives and things u dont even need. It wouldnt cost as much as what free college would.
About paying for everyone else, this is pretty serious: I remember when I was paying to keep SSF running when I was a Premium Member, while the plebs were running around, and flaunting their free accounts and gif less avatars. And I'm sooooo happy that newb crows got a full bar of reps while paying NOTHING to Dave, but this isn't about crows. This isn't about you, crows. Who the heck does crows think he is? Well, I'm a pleb now, too, but dammit, I need that money to buy food. Which reminds me, can anyone spot me a 20? Help a brother out, crows.

If trade schools are so much more affordable, why can't you pay your own way?
Build a wall around the sandbox to keep the Premium Members out (or keep the plebs in).

Free education, trade schools could be more realistic. But you never hear people even bringing up the idea of trade schools. Its like it is beneath people or something
Nothing is free right now and colkege will never be free, i just never understood why trade schools get ignored

People who work in trades aren't generally as socialistic as those with purely academic credentials. My guess is that they don't ask.

It's not just colleges that have gotten way out of hand in cost.
Private high schools now cost more than many colleges (~$25k). I see high schools with art centers and collegiate quality athletic facilities and orchestra halls. All this stuff is nice but for high school it's not necessary. And i can tell you many ppl think their kids are going to yale because they pay this tuition. And that doesnt turn out to be the case.
