I'm probably gonna get some heat for this but I cant understand for the life of me why people actually like Star Trek. yes it's one of the Things I F#$%ing Hate!

I would ask that too. Not being into it I can understand, hating it though......

I never liked star trek but I could never hate it. I totally understand the appeal, I just never got into it, I did love the new movie they made, I really liked that.

It would be difficult for someone to enjoy any scifi if they don't like Star Trek. Trek has influenced and been influenced by so many other foundations of the genre.

Everyone can point at a few episodes they hate. But to say you hate the whole thing just suggests a dislike for science fiction.

The way debate and disagreement is often confused with hate, antagonism and lack of civility in topics of political nature. Threads being closed because of such. Unless there was a bunch of posts deleted that I didn't see, the thread seemed to be going fine.
