I agree Garfield was serviceable. And I agree with whoever said he seemed more like a jerk than just funny. But overall he was ok within the world they created for the ASM movie. One thing that really bothered me was that Garfield acted like he had some kind of behavioral disorder like Asperger's or Autistism or something. Seriously.

And overall I thought Tobey did a fantastic job--from a truly believable loser/nerd, to the wisecracking friendly neighborhood Spidey.

Garfield I thought was too "cool" and good looking like an outsider/artist/misunderstood bad boy type, instead of just a plain old nerd like what PP is supposed to be.

Do you know anybody with Aspergers or Autism?

Becuase i do and he didn't

Still stand by Andrew Garfield. Never liked Toby or those movies. I tried to like them but could never get into them, so was relieved when ASM came about. It's weird how polarising the films are. But to me, ASM really feels like a spidey movie to me and Garfield nailed the part as far as I'm concerned.

I've worked with several people, children and adults, with varying degrees of autism and aspergers. He showed various tics and nuances that are common in people with Aut/Asp. However, I don't feel it was the definitive aspect of his portrayal.

Ahh gotcha. I'm by no means an expert, just didn't get that feeling myself. Just thought he seemed like an awkward teenager. But I guess everyone picks up on different things. Nothing wrong with that. :duff

Yeah, I agree, I'm just saying I understand which aspects of his portryal are being attitributed to autsim etc...

Thank you.

I'm sorry if I came across as insensitive, as that is the last thing I would ever want to do. But I truly thought Garfield passed the line from awkward teen to "something's not right with that kid".

Awkward teenager = Aspergers.

Well many do say it is one of the most overdiagnosed syndromes :lol

Thank you.

Yeah, I knew what you meant. So it's all good :duff

Hmm Not sure I like Green Goblin's new look...
