If I get a relative to get us park passes using their Florida discount..can I use them? Anyone know?

According to a few sites:

To qualify for the discounts you must be able to prove Florida residency usually by showing a state photo ID such as a drivers licence. Only Florida residents can use these discounted tickets. They cannot be sold or given as gifts to non residents. Disney enforces this rule rigidly and are very strict about checking photo Ids.

Yea...thats what I read on the website. My Wife's father lives in FL and they seemed to think it was okay as if they did it before. They heard we were going and were like "oh, well we can get your tickets" Thought Id ask on here for a second opinion before they went and did it and we were stuck at the gate not allowed in.

Me and the wife are going in May for our first year anniversary..pretty psyched..I havent been since 96....the freakin Animal Kingdom wasnt even built yet.

The Animal Kingdom is a great park. It's not the typical Dsiney land so to speak. You have to take the time to look at everything. The Tree of Life is huge!! You have no idea how big it is until you get there. Walk all around it because there is paths that vere off of it that have smaller things to look at. And look at every side of the tree. There are carvings everywhere and they look amazing. All and all it's a great park to visit.

I don't have too many attraction posters on my wall (Rocket to the Moon, People Mover, Captain EO, Star Tours) but I finally decided to hang up the largest one I have....

So I'm gonna go to Disneyland for 24 hours on Wednesday. I'm gonna be so tired!

Yeah I'm doing that too, got a room at the Grand Californian though (never stayed there before) so we plan on relaxing during the day and running through there nice and late, gonna be awesome!:yess:

That's exactly my plan as well. Most sites say crowd level during the day will be about 9/10, but over night they anticipate crowds to dwindle.

Being there from 11PM-6AM is the main goal for me, gonna be so much fun.

Just booked our reservations last night for Disney World in may..which will be over the first weekend of star wars weekends. Pretty psyched..havent been since 96..up until then we went about every two years..just me and the wife this time. I think we did it right, Park hoppers, meal plan, staying at a Disney resort hotel.

The place was SO packed overnight. But I did it. All 24 hours! Pictures to come... I have to edit through 1,000 pics.

I just bought my family a vacation to WDW beginning June 2nd. Are there any grails I should be sure not to miss?

Make sure you make time for Universal's Islands of Adventure!

As for the Disney Parks, there are the usual E-Tickets and classic attractions. Depending on how many days you're there, you should be able to do everything there is to offer.

So where are you staying at? I've been at WDW only three times and each time it was at one of their "budget" hotels (All Star Music in 1995, Shades of Green in 2005 and Pop Century in 2010). That way we could maximize the days we could spend there. :)

One day I would love to stay at the Contemporary... it's just so iconic. Although by the pictures I've seen the new Art of Animation resort could be fun to stay at. I'm a BIG Lion King fan. :clap :clap :clap

And I loved using the WDW meal plan... although most of the time we took the mandatory dessert to go with us. I just couldn't eat that much food in one sitting. I see the Disneyland has adopted a meal plan of sorts but it doesn't appear to be that good a deal.

That was a cool video!

And here we go... my buddy and I, our goal was to hit up as many attractions as we could do. In the start I said "we need to do every ride, every show, every meet & greet".... but that soon changed and we decided to just do as many rides and walk-throughs as we could. By the end of the day, we tackled 40 attractions (41 if you count the quick stop in Disney California Adventure).

This is the sky around 6am February 29th.

The line to get through the bag check was what slowed us down but by the time we got to the front, it was smooth sailing. Most everyone who waited overnight to get a hat went straight home. I thought that was pretty weak.

Coming in, we were handed these buttons to wear:

Cast Members line the streets to wave and greet guests coming in.

First thing's first... we grabbed fast passes for Star Tours and then lined up at Space Mountain which only had a 25 minute wait.

While in line, Space Mountain broke down... but we waited.

And it finally came back online

More later... i need sleep!!

Okay I'll do one more. Even with Fast Passes for Star Tours... the line was only 25 minutes so we decided to wait it out and enjoy it.

Then it was onto Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, which only had a 10 minute wait.

few quick shots of Fantasyland. The Matterhorn is going under a 6 month extensive rehab. New tracks, new rock-work, new lighting and effects, new bobsleds. Opening on June 15, this is almost like getting a brand new ride.

Got in line for Casey Jr. Circus Train and enjoyed the little details in the light fixtures:
