Another knock off Emperor, this time with a lightsaber but his outfit from ROTJ.

Their "Puzzle Man" was one of the 3rd party versions of the 2022 The Batman's Riddler that was released after the movie came out. But prior to that I hadn't heard of them either.

They also did Alex from Clockwork Orange wich turned out pretty nice judging by some reviews I've seen (I don't own that figure though, that was just the impression I got after watching the reviews).

ehh, maybe if the hood doesn’t come out looking like a giant cone, I’ll consider it.
The whole point of me buying that other Emperor outfit set was so I could sell the HT and repurpose the funds so, if I go and buy another inferior Emperor, I’d just be essentially trading a very good figure for two borderline passable ones.

Maybe the body for this will have longer legs to touch the floor when posed in the throne?

The Hot Toys looks semi hilarious on throne, because it is so slouched and the feet don’t really touch the ground, like a little kid sitting in an adult chair.

We need an Episode 3 Palplatine (after he battles Mace).

Hot Toys sort of did with their Clones (?) version but it looks different than the appearance in Revenge of the Sith.

So, what’s the verdict, buy or pass?
Neat palps, think a true HT release is far away.
I have the Hot Toys version but I’m leaning towards getting this for the extra sculpts and to pose the extra figure differently.

Plus, it’s probably difficult for this company to screw up since 90% of the figure is cloaked. :lol

Usually these figure companies (licensed or 3rd party) have more difficult time producing human sculpts (especially female) but “creatures” and older men are OK since there’s probably more margin for error.

3 head sculpts plus spare hands means I could also upgrade my old hasbro 12 inch palpatine. just its outfit on generic TTM style body. will make it feel like getting two figures instead of 1. If one has the Sideshow palps then same applies. better head and hands.

I don't like any of these sculpts. Maybe with proper futzing, IF and only IF the robes come out as good as they have shown, with the proper hood length (and not looking pointy like a KKK hood like that other 3rd party figure turned out looking) then you can get away with a decent looking emperor on the shelf, and a substitute for the Hot Toys.

180 is still asking too much for a mediocre unlicensed release.
