With Hot Toys doing accurate silicone bodies, vinyl material over pleather, rooted hair, it's time for them to take on Returns Catwoman.
There’s a new T2 and Predator. It’s clear, Hot Toys is now listening to us. Pfeiffer and Penguin are happening.

I doubt they're listening. To me, they're just getting all the stuff out before InArt, Joost and 3P companies take a swipe at liscences they have.

This has nothing to do with collectors desires. It's competition that's driving this.

They are not worried about InArt, they virtually have every license under the sun.
Keep telling yourself that though, InArt & JND have sparked a fire under them yes, but worried? No.

Lol. Right.
Pattinson Batman is still not in people’s hands after three months, you know? The second or third figure they ever showed since establishing the company going on three years ago. But alright. They’re struggling with production left and right and care more about these “influencers” than collectors that aren’t profiting off of showcasing their product.

Yeah it's definitely doing something. Totally agree that third party companies are having an influence. They have been making comic styled figures for a bit now and I think HTs response to that is HONO. Third party companies have also tackled figures people have been wanting for a while now i.e. '66 Bat villains, T-800, '90s Bat villains. What I think it really comes down to is the fall-off of the widespread appeal of the MCU. So HT is going back to their roots somewhat with the Jungle Pred 2.0 and new T2 figure. MCU is still huge, but it's not Endgame large anymore.

I think the real reason we are seeing all of this vintage stuff and 2.0s is because of the actor and writers strike last year. Nothing really new they have to keep up on, so they have been able to soley focus on the things we've been clamoring for.

InArt definitely lit that fire for HT to stop being stagnant and lazy. It was a nice kick in the rear they needed. We are seeing much better sculpts and paint apps recently from HT. I'm loving it.

Totally forgot about the strikes. That’s definitely another big part

Not sure I'd need this with having the 89 2.0, but it is cool to potentially have another chance at this. I imagine they will do an updated unmasked Keaton sculpt given the poor reception of the previous one. With the reveal of this, I wonder if HT will reveal a Pfeiffer Cabwoman down the road to compete with Joost's figure and if so, will that tank Joost's sales?

Yeah and there's absolutely no way they think a Clooney Bats will sell more than Pfeiffer Catwoman :ROFLMAO:
I dunno. They seemed to think Leto Joker would sell more than Pfeiffer.

They failed to see the interest in the 66 villains. They made every variant of Harley except the one collectors actually wanted, red and black suit.

Hot Toys logic is something else.

I've been thinking of selling my Returns Batman for the past few weeks. Now I regret not doing it earlier. :lol
Can probably still do it as the DX09 was still going for decent amounts when the 2.0 was revealed at Sideshow Con a couple years ago. The longer you wait, the less you'll get though. Throwing it up for sale in the next couple of days would probably be your best bet for maximum returns

Honestly - I am also gonna sell my Returns Batman, but not because I intend to replace it with this 2.0, I have my eye on the 89 figure 2.0.

I have the figure + a spare body with a dislocated arm [affects poseability but is invisible due to the rubber suit - arm is just down by his side in a museum-pose], one of the gauntlets has a tiny bit of damage i've since repaired.
Anyone interested just let me know what price you're thinking, have no intentions of price gauging anyone.

Yeah good call. Guess I have to make a decision this weekend.

Cape looks so much better than their Bales, will probably still go custom but this is great to see.
