Dang, Shawn Levy directed this, my enthusiasm has dropped slightly.
Came to that conclusion without giving thought to it. Brilliant.
When majority of the movie is just jokes, might as well go to a comedy club.
It's about finding a balance between all those jokes and telling a story which wasn't the case for DP2. That's why I found the first movie more enjoyable. I do feel that with Reynolds injecting his typical comedy acting into Deadpool's character, it's hard to separate the 2. Much in a sense that all I see is the Rock no matter what role he plays. In Ryan's case, it's somewhat the opposite. I partly think of Deadpool in his other roles.
In what way did Deadpool 2 not tell a story?
It was a pretty pivotal movie for his character development.
Deadpool 1 was all about him being selfish and wanting revenge. Deadpool 2 he learned to value and do things for others.
I think they’re pretty on par.

I was hoping to see a spoiler tag for all the cameos
and for how long Laura is in the movie
and for how long Laura is in the movie
Gambit around 15 mins screentime
Johnny Storm about 5 mins
Unsure on Laura but she’s the Resistence leader.
All of the other Wolverine variants are like 10 second cameos.

Credits just rolled, I really liked it. Fun movie with great fan service moments that just worked.

Glad I avoided as many spoilers as possible. So many cool and unexpected cameos and Easter eggs!
It was fun, but it was also really, really dumb. Not sure it's gonna be the multi-billion dollar hit that's gonna save cinema, but we'll see.
My favorite part was seeing the various Wolverines. Some awesome deep cuts in there.
Also really cool to finally see the mask in motion, but I have to admit, it looked a little goofy.

Similar in which way? They are both following the multiverse approach. For me personally the cameos worked better in D&W. The CGI and effects were also way better in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Similar in the fact that both movies had a paper-thin plot that was the fastest and easiest way to cram in lots of cameos and references. Not that that's a bad thing. Not every super-hero movie needs to try to be "The Dark Knight."
I feel like with Flash they were throwing everything they could think of that might get reactions from an audience, and with Deadpool, they were doing the same but it came from a more genuine understanding of the characters and the Easter eggs were a lot better.
Flash was a drama and this was a comedy, so the tone is way different. I just think the two movies have a lot in common. This movie was fun, but at the end of the day, I also thought it was really dumb.
Fantastic film. Loved it.
Hugh was absolutely amazing as Wolvie, it was surreal seeing him in the suit finally. He was doing some legit physical work here.
The cameos were great, and it was just right at 2 hours. Great fun.

Flash felt more like patchwork. D&W was also thin plotwise but the story was more consistent.
I kinda hated this movie. it was really annoying. cameos were cool but the story was awful. really bad plot. terrible.
humor was funny and it had good jokes but awful annoying dialogue, ending was cliche.
some stuff made no sense. action was excellent. acting was really good.
if I rewatched it, I would skip a bunch of stuff.

Flash felt more like a “we already put money in this crap movie from a universe nobody cares about anymore so just put it out” the fact that Keaton Batman is front and center on all the cover art tells you all you need to know. Also the cgi cameos in that were terrible
