Popcultcha...

I'd probably prefer getting two Asmus Nazgul for the price of one from InArt lol, especially if it's not going to be a centerpiece in my collection.

If InArt had priced it around $220-250, it would have been much more appealing. I understand they're using 'premium' materials, but considering it's just a headless character draped in black robes, it feels like diminishing returns to me to go into that much detail imo.

The Nazgul was one of my most desired figures and the Asmus Toys version looked really bad, so I just had to go with this one, especially considering InArt's pedigree and attention to detail. I know it's expensive, but it's not that much worse than your average Hot Toys.

Congrats but as one of the folks who tried InArt and got the short end, I'd question that.

More like good luck tho hard to know how this could get messed up (and I'm very happy with my ASMUS Nazgul tho for me they are more background shelf characters).

Really on the fence with these two. Legolas and the Nazgul deluxe. At first i thought i would pre-order instantly. But now considering the price and my shelves are running out of space i have second thoughts. The Nazgul is one of my favorite characters from LOTR and already have Gandalf and Aragorn. Proceed or not proceed. The whole line would look awesome together. But at this rate its going to be in the thousands. Also the QC issues are terrifying. Never had them but alot of folks did. Proberly going to pre-order these with a deposit. And take the time to think about it if i'll keep them or sell on.

The average Joe out there, who views these figures, would likely guess $150 to be nice... and think if it was any more, you'd have to be insane to buy one, let alone many.

…the husband snickered and said: "you're one of those guys"...
I get that that is the prevailing sentiment from most non-collectors in the “real” world, but jeez, that’s just an incredibly rude thing to say to someone who has hosted you in his home.

This is really hard, should I get 1 deluxe and 2 regular? I always wanted that display for the Nazgul with 3 of them and one on the horse.

Do you guys think this is really worth 1.5k? :'( I guess it's worth it rather than chasing down later due to regret...

Fk this price really, such a bummer.

Difficult call to be honest. How bad do you want 3 of them, and more importantly can you justify that cash layout?
I'm still back and forth on whether to order the deluxe version.
Totally agree that the price is a bummer. $150 less for both and I wouldn't be hesitating.

Exactly, I would buy them in an instant if that was the case...

Well for me I was actually hoping we would get a Horse with a Nazgul from inArt, when I first saw the images I was super excited and as for the other 2 Nazgul I feel like I need to have 1 on each side or 2 agaisnt Aragorn.

Do you have space for the Deluxe? If so, I would definitely go for that..... if not for the price :'(

I'm lucky that space is no problem, but I collect so much stuff including Weta and toy soldiers, that I'm really trying to get super choosy these days. Always trying to think ahead as to what else might be coming out and will I want it more (Hell, we all think that way. LOL)
I have InArt Gandalf and Aragorn, so knowing my nature to want the whole line, I will probably crumble before the weekend is out! There is no hope for me! :gah:

Yeah I worked out that a standard InArt one is gonna cost me just over double what I paid for my 2 Asmus ones factoring in discounts, shipping etc.

I took my Asmus out today to take a look and they're decent figures IMO. They have no issues standing or holding their diecast swords. The InArt one is tidier looking (I had to trim a lot of the fabric strands on the Asmus one) and presumably will have better quality materials but that's about it. They both have diecast armor and the same number of weapons unless you get the InArt exclusive.

No way the InArt is worth more than double and yet I'm still getting one anyway so Kudos to InArt for knowing ppl like me will cave in. I'll have it closer to the front of the display and the Asmus ones obscured in the background.

Absolutely these dolls be worth one-and-a-half-grand dude, go for it man!

Ok after checking out some Wonder Festival videos, I'm starting to think I might need one of these after all. The size of the horse is looking a lot better from a distance, and it gives you a better idea of how much presence this would have next to other figures and in a display.
