Re: 12" Obi-Wan IMAGE Thread

So TOE do you just keep them boxed as a general rule, or are you waiting to open them later on? Just wondering what the situation is?

Re: 12" Obi-Wan IMAGE Thread

We'll all be opening up our Midieval Kurgan's before TOE opens his figures. :lol

Re: 12" Obi-Wan IMAGE Thread

I like them in a box because i think they look cool. I don't really play with the figures or pose them. I guess it is my thing. I have a whole bunch of sealed in box SS figures that I don't open up. Maybe later on when I get a house, I'll eventually pose them :D Don't expect me to sell them either like most are probably thinking  I'm no flipper. Sometimes I buy 2 of the same figures so I can open the other one.

Re: 12" Obi-Wan IMAGE Thread

I once thought as you do, TOE. I kept all of my Bonds in the box for like 5 years and then one day the voice of reason slapped me across the face like an epiphany and I opened them all up and I was so happy and relieved as though a great weight had been lifted from my soul. I understand the desire to be a MIB collector but life is too short. Enjoy it while you have it. You will be VERY glad you did. And you can always put them BACK in the box when you are done.

Same here. I was MIB for some time. Then the light shone down upon me and I opened all my stuff. It was like having my stuff for the first time all over again. If you ever open them TOE it will change your life.

Did you hear that, Kurgan Brothers? A disbeliever. You know what we do to disbelievers and naysayers...

Ok guys....painted my Obi-Wan last night... thought I would share it with you. I corrected Ewan's eye color as well... just to be "actor" accurate and not exactly character accurate...

The clothes took to the water treatment well, but beware the belt... it DOES stain the sash! Found out the hard way. Overall, I am Very very happy with him... just a great figure. The beard and hair look different in several of these pics and that is because of the lighting. Sometimes the red shows, sometimes the blond. I will put a flash pic in there as well to show the color treatment... just for those curious.

Looks awesome! You might wanna try running the images through a correctional post-processing filter to adjust the gamma and reduce image blur but it still looks fantastic. Would like to see more retinal detail so perhaps a better portrait study image?

Thanks Dave.... I SOOO need a tripod. I cleaned the images up as best I could, but I get off late this week... so not much light left when I get home. I hope to take a whole slew of really nice pics this weekend when I am not so busy. I'm painting so much lately I see brushes in my sleep... :lol
