I don't like the strands of hair that stick out. The likeness isn't good enough for me to justify the purchase. Honestly the only thing I don't like about TDW sculpt is how much hair he has. Somewhere there is a guy who modded it and posted pictures but I've never been able to track him down since.

I think it's a really great sculpt it is just a boring expression (imo), looks like he is waiting in line at the DMV. Might pick up the HS and make a party Thor.

I reckon it looks brilliant. Hot Toys uploaded some pics to Facebook and... this will now be my Thor.

The original shots looked like a drowned rat... but the final product looks amazing.

So... now I just gotta get Hawkeye, Iron Man, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, and Falcon from the Civil War lineup.

I'll most likely be getting this one, he looks much better (IMO) in the box pic a few pages back than he does in the HT pics.

Just like Loki, the new one is not as good as it's predecessor for me. Will snag a stand and mjolnir and call it a day. maybe the chest armor if found cheap. AOU Thor looks perplexed like someone asked him what is the square root of two. Pinched forehead doesn't go with the relaxed mouth. Would have to try hard to make that face naturally.

Don't like the shiny rubber body on this either. Looks cheap like cm toys bodies.

After all these pics I think I'm coming around to this, getting used to the sculpt. It's not perfect but not as bad as I initially thought. The hair is lighter and I like the serious expression. Better for museum pose next to Cap.

Would have liked if they finally gave us multiple options for arms, hard plastic would be nice. Doesn't seem like that's ever gonna happen though.

In this last pic, he almost looks to have that "blank stare" going on, like Winter Soldier Black Widow.
The eyes in the Dark World version have much more life to them.

I agree. Both head sculpts look really good. Still, I prefer the new one. I think it looks better, and it looks more uniform with the other Avengers in the AoU line, most of whom have closed mouths (with the exception of the Hulk).

Yeah I think we just needed at least one Avenger yawning

but I agree, if you are getting most or some of the AOU line, Thor would be a good figure to add to the collection
