I prefer the TDW sculpt, and the likeness is probably better, but I think the AoU looks more detailed sculpt (in photos at least)

Great looking piece. I guess my biggest complaint (and only one of the last 3 Thors we have had) is Thor is a blonde blonde. Not a golden blonde. I thought for sure they would finally lighten the hair just a tad even.

I believe the detail that they're going for with the hair on most of the sculpts is to look like he is in the middle of battle. His hair is usually wet and grungy looking, and is matted down to his head.

Does anyone know which bodies will fit in place of the stock one? I want a Thor in my collection, but I hate the rubber arms with a passion. I have an extra MMS220 Wolverine body but that would probably not look right.

That is the body that will fit in the costume. None of the arnie bodies will be able to wear the costume.
But you can do an arm swap and put the arnie arms on the Thor body.

Isn't la Thor a version of Dutchs body? I know the Dutch body worked with the older Thor. I don't think the figure got smaller. And the t800 body works. Pretty sure most the Arnold body's will work.

Here's at800

I just tried the AOU Thor head on a TTM20, and the neck is too wide. Even with that plastic joint inside the neck removed(That clasps the neck ball joint), the Thor head will not fit.
At least, without mods, that is.

As an aside, does anyone know of a Mjolnir that is close to 1/6, but not made of metal like the HT one?
Ideally, a light plastic or resin would be handy. That HT one weighs too much, lol.

Lol, well TA has said they're parting him out soon.

Yeah. My problem is that as i am seven hours ahead of TA, they usually part figures out at 02:00 my time...
By the time i wake up, the good parts are gone. On occasion, they say: "Coming soon......", and i spend a week staying up till 02:30(For doll parts, lol), only for them to *not* do a part out that night, or part figures i am not interested and then go to bed early to find the next morning: "Hey presto", they parted that figure out the night before, with only a belt, two hand pegs and a scarf left over...
:rotfl

Got my Thor today and took it out to inspect. Are the shin guards supposed to be loose? They seem to slide up and down the calf pretty easily, not sure if that's normal for this fig. It's a non-factor for grounded poses but not sure if it could be an issue for dynamic flying poses perhaps.

Otherwise an awesome figure, very happy with this guy as the only Thor in my collection :)

Yeah, that's how they are. You could probably tighten them up by wrapping fabric around the shin underneath or something.

Mine are like this also. Hasn't been an issue though.
