I've just got my Thor via Popcultcha/Australia.

Love how quickly we're getting the figures now. Rather then months later, now for my last 3 figures its been two weeks or less in difference.

Though I will probably never use it, the light up hammer is better then I thought it would be after seeing it on the posted pics.

Glad I am leaning towards not collecting the entire AoU line, cause this is an easy pass. Every picture of Thor I have looked at make his arms look terrible. Cheap, Hasbro like rubber arms. Maybe it is the lighting.... but I see it in every photo. Might just be me. Not a fan of the head sculpt either. Can't quite pinpoint what is off to me. The hair looks pretty good, better than TDW Thor. I think it would be better with rooted hair though.

How sturdy are the arm joints when holding up the hammer? My TDW Thor arm joints are very loose/weak so any time I pose him holding the hammer above his head, the arms always fall down. They are unable to support the weight of the hammer unfortunately.

It's like with RoboCop, the arm can't support the weight of a diecast accessory, at least not for any significant length of time. If you can, go with the plastic version.

Arms look fine to me. But then I don't know what Hasbro arms look like.

Truthfully I prefer the armoured look, which is why I didn't get the LA Thor when released.

And if I'm being truthful I also prefer the DW headsculpt as raising the arm with hammer just looks odd to me. I'll probably have AOU Thor in the air but with both arms just 30-40 degrees out from his body as if he's floating (which he doesn't really do).

But the arm seems fine holding up the hammer. Which version did you have the issue with?

And rooted hair, did I just hear ROOTED HAIR! (Can't stand the stuff myself). :dunno

Plastic version?

Dark World version. It always has been like that. Just can't hold the diecast hammer for more than a minute. Very irritating as that is my favorite pose for him.

AOU comes with two. The plastic being the light up version.

LA or armoured? As I've had my armoured with arm up since release. And this one I've had his arm up for about an hour or so now.

I'm tempted when mine comes to give the lightweight hammer to TDW so I can make his pose a bit less rigid. Regardless of the rubber arms, AoU will have a serious pose because he has a serious face... and yes Phoenix, I agree about the hammer raised pose.
