Because they know we will recognize the back of the head. Because its the same head.

I'm probably the only one that would be ok on this...if he comes out like the prototype I will get him (because I passed up on Thor 2 figure)

If Thor looks really good, I might sell my Thor 1, I don't need 2 Thors it'll just bug me and be a really eye-thor

I'm guessing Thor will have either a new sculpt or interchangeable armored arms. They would've added some new element to sell the figure, otherwise apart from the disc color and such, it's very close to TDW versions.

Just went with Dark World Thor since I randomly received a $25 code from Sideshow today. Couldn't pass up free shipping and extra rewards. Let's see if I regret it when this is announced...

That's true.

Everything so far indicates he will be sleeveless. The artist mix is without. The trailer shows no sleeves. The proto at toy soul had none. And they could have just as easily used the sleeved DW version instead.

But given he is in this photo we will soon see full frontal soon.

Yeah saw him ... didn't feel like waiting any longer when I could get a deal on Dark World Thor and not have to wait until at least the fall to get him ha

I can't see myself ordering another Thor. I like the character but my version from The Dark World is good enough especially considering that the new costume doesn't look all that different. Think I'm just sticking to the characters I need to complete my core team (Captain America, Hawkeye, and Hulk). Haven't decided if I'll get another Iron Man or not and while I want Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Vision I know there'll be future figures of them so not sure if I'll get all three right away.

Yeah that's understandable, lol. I've already got the light armor Thor so this will have to be impressive to make me want another Thor. Plus I can't afford much and there are already quite a few I want. Cap, Mk III on PO, Thanos, War Machine 2.0, Ultron drone, and now I kinda want to get on the waitlist for Stealth armor IM.

I'm almost sure that they will. The characters will most likely appear in future films so it's likely that Hot Toys will do future figures of them. Unless sales were low on them but I'm guessing that they'll sell well because there will probably be a lot of people buying the whole wave of Age of Ultron figures.

You guys think I could just buy the Dark World arms and slap it on this Thor? Or just buy the clothes from this version and slap it on TDW version. The gold discs and accents bug the **** out of me. XD

I don't know if you could arm swap. Maybe. But you could buy the earlier sleeves and use them.
