Well, this figure makes me feel much better about not being able to get the Light Asgardian armor version. It is basically the same thing lol.
This trend with Hot Toys is pretty annoying tho, So many Black Widows, Thors and this recent case with War Machine 2.0.2. I mean, now we are going to get a Man of Steel with a different facial expression but same everything. Sucks for those who have the pieces but good for the newcomers.

Couldn't have said it better! I'm very happy I can at least skip one figure in this line

Can't please 'em all, but I for one am super happy they went with the sleeveless for AoU, much prefer this look.

The sleeveless look and silver trim is my preference as well. I'm glad I held off getting Thor until now.

I'm a little disappointed its not different, but it could still be, nothings said and done until the PO pics go up, and even then its possible something will change(just more unlikely)

If I already had the LA Thor, I would be sighing with relief that this one is so similar. Saves me having to fork out another $300 for another AoU figure.

I'm not one that needs to have multiples of every character just because they've been made. The look and the price always come into my choices. Most of the Avengers figures are too expensive to buy now on the secondary market, so getting them from AoU is a much better alternative. I skipped out on all the characters solo films precisely because AoU was coming up and I wouldn't want duplicates of the same characters.

Just got the armored dark world thor for a cool $183.99. I'm willing to sacrifice sleeve less look to save $50. Now I hope I don't get trolled by Hot toys and in the next few days they review they actually had a AOU Thor plan with a new headsculpt.

All these have been made so many times i suprised they did not go for BD looks for Thor, Cap, WM MKII, etc just for something different.

Hopefully they fix the rubber arm peeling issue with this version. I sold my Light Armor Thor just so I didn't have to worry about that. Lol. So I've been Thorless for a while now.

I've got both Dutch and LA thor and a few rubber bodies on customs and none of them have any peeling issues

My LA had the peeling arms but the replacement from sideshow seems to be holding up just fine. Since sideshow makes you destroy the old body I experimented with the peeling arm to see if the peeling would stop but it just spread down the whole arm like an old eraser. Hopefully Hot Toys has fixed it now
