With the swappable arms wouldn't you need more than just the arms? The parts of his upper body that is visible is also covered in chainmail, no?

Just twice though....to choke out Stark and then at the end when Rogers and Stark were discussing Vision's ability to hold Mjolnir.

Technically three times... he was armored in Stark's vision of the fallen Avengers.

He wears some sort of undershirt that covers his chest. Only shoulders are visible.

I guess I was just hoping for something more with this figure. For the folks that have no Thor yet it's a good option, but not when I already have LA Thor.

Ok three times. Forgot about the vision ha And I guess that's a difference between his AOU outfit and TDW one that I hadn't noticed before ... the former has more closed in arm holes since you can see underarm chainmail in TDW.

Though in AoU, pretty sure you could see his pits when his arms were raised which you wouldn't see with armor.

:exactly: Clothing is also something I pay attention to, depending on the material.

With my AV1 Widow, I've kept the her arms down at her sides (guns still in her hands) because I noticed having the elbows bent was causing creasing in the material that wasn't smoothing out. I didn't like that and didn't want the material too stretch too bad so I changed the posed.

That's the main reason why I've held off on getting Avengers Widow. I want to display it in an action pose, and those crease marks really worry me for when I want to switch to a different pose.

I don't have any of my figs in extreme poses - I think Coulson is my most "posed" figure with the way I have him holding the destroyer gun, but I don't worry about his suit.

While I admire action poses when I see pics of them, I don't mind the more static poses - these things are just too expensive for me to feel like I'm taking a chance on tearing something.

I'm sorta the opposite. Despite the price tag, I keep coming back to the toy part in the HT name. If I'm spending that much money on something, I want to have fun with it (it's not like these are investments that'll skyrocket in value... for the most part). I try to find the limits of what each figure can do to find a good pose, and sometimes I'll end up tearing something accidentally (or even intentionally... goodbye, resale value). It's all personal preference, but that's a price I'm willing to pay to not have a figure standing in a museum pose.

I'm not sure I get this whole ..well they already did an unsleeved version so we need another...there are like four sleeved versions too. First Thor, avengers Thor, Tdw reg Thor. So three. So either way it's been done.

And yes he was sleeved in part of the movie. But sleeveless in more. It's a no win. Either way someone's gonna be complaining. So might as go with the rubber which has more screen, less people have it as there are less previously produced sleeveless in both releases and numbers, and it's less painting so less manufacturing man hours.

When I bought LA Thor, just thought it would be hard to top it cause its a great sculpt.
But gotta say...that looks even better.
Looks like I'm definitely getting a loose headsculpt but I'm not gonna bother getting the whole figure.

I think I'm one of the few who isn't into that sculpt ... I dunno what it is. TDW Thor just looks like the god of thunder to me ... I just don't get the same vibe from this. But of course, this is just a catalogue pic so hopefully it looks better to me when more pics come out.

Could just be the photoshopness, but it does look a minor improvement in the face... nonetheless, for what I paid for TDW Thor, I couldn't justify the difference in price or wait to get this one..
