I was always under the impression that Thor was meant to be taller than Cap and Iron Man...guess not.

I believe that he is.

Chris Evans is 6'0" and Chris Hemsworth is 6'4" I believe. And in the WS when it showed Cap's post serum stats at his exhibit in the Smithsonian, it said he's supposed to be 6'2" (in the MCU at least) if I recall correctly. Still two inches shorter than Hemsworth.

Then again, I don't think the 1/6 figures are always dead on accurate in terms of height in comparison to the height of another actor who portrayed a certain character. Generally they are, but not always. For instance, Henry Cavill is also 6'0" I believe (maybe 6'1") and Christoper Reeve was 6'4", like Hemsworth. However, the MoS figure is slightly taller than the Reeve figure and I don't really consider the Reeve figure to be a small figure by any means.

I dont generally pay so much attention to it but now that I got new shelf and have them together Im noticing those slight differences, now with hawkeye on the way I think my WS Widow might be too tall :gah:

Your comparing actor height not character height. The actors height is mostly irrelavent. Otherwise Tom cruise would never work. The height of the characters are not always the same as the actors. Keaton was a lot shorter then "batman". Dean Cain, Tom welling, Chris Reeves, Brandon Roth, Henry Cavill are all different heights. There's nearly a foot of difference between those supermen actors actually. So saying Captain America is 4 or 5 inches shorter then Thor because the actors height is not correct(also Evans is taller then 6ft)

The HT figures are based on the real actors' likeness and portrayal of the characters in the MCU, no?

Regarding Chris Evans's height:

Chris Hemsworth is 6'3", my mistake.

But even under the premise that it's based on the character height and not the actor's height, as I mentioned, I believe I recall that MCU Cap's height is supposed to be 6'2", per the exhibit in the WS. I believe Thor is still supposed to be taller than 6'2".

The person at the museum clearly made a typo

You mean the film makers who typed out his stats for that particular movie prop to be used in the exhibit that's shown in the film?

Perhaps the film makers intended for the MCU Cap to be 6'2" and the random individual who typed on MCU Wikipedia wasn't privy of that?

Entirely plausible.

I meant the person working at the museum in the MCU made a typo while making that slide. Completely plausible too.

It's not random. It's on the size chart that Thor and Cap are the same height.

Indeed also completely plausible. Which is why I never said that the person who wrote that portion of the MCU Wikipedia is "clearly" wrong.

Now, I'm taking this whole thing 1/2 serious because this was brought up a couple months ago regarding RDJs height :lol

We just decided to go with the chart and HTs reflects that

Gotcha.

The HT are based on how the characters are presented in the MCU (not the comic version) and the likenesses of the actors who portray them, so I'm just basing it off of what is actually shown in the film(s).

Captain America and Batman, from the comics have always had the same proportions: 6'2" 240lbs. For anyone who gives a sh$t, of course.
