I finally got my AoU Thor today! :woo

Anyone who already has this know if the cape can be removed? I plan on displaying him without the cape.

Tempted to get back into collecting after being forced to leave because of the forever rising costs... and thinking this to be a good one to start of with! :rotfl

Don't mean to sound like that guy, but I'm glad I stuck with TDW Thor, that face looks like Leonardo Dicaprio and Warren Beatty had a kid.

It's cool, I feel the same. I can't understand how they went backwards from the DW Thor sculpt. AOU Thor is a great figure but the head is a huge step backwards.

I like the silver armor and the added height, but prefer the likeness of TDW sculpt. I'm gonna keep my LA Thor sculpt but part out the rest so I can get this.

Got my AoU Thor in today. Very finely crafted figure. I prefer the silver discs/realms on the AoU armor in lieu of the gold on TDW Thor, and I think I like the pants better also with the darker chainmaille. Sculpt wise, I think there's a slightly better Hemsworth likeness in TDW sculpt, but the likeness in the AoU sculpt is good enough. I prefer the facial expression and the hair on the AoU sculpt though. The cape is also pretty dark, but I actually like it. However, I still think the best Thor cape on any figure thus far is the cape on TDW LA Thor, followed by this one.

The light up Mjolnir is really cool also. If doing any sort of dynamic pose where his hammer wielding arm is raised, I'd definitely use that one being that it's extremely lighter than the die-cast Mjolnir and therefore, easier on joints; especially with the rubber arms.

Grats man. He looks Cool! :hi5:

Did you try to lift Mjolnir? :lol

Sure did! It didn't go too well. :lol

In all fairness, my camera (which I'm still learning to use) did distort him a little bit. His face looks a little wider than it actually is. Not sure if it was my focal length, distance from the figure, or the bad lighting in my apartment. But I promise the likeness is much better in person! :D
