I still think he looks great. I'm out of 1/6 except for wanting to do a bounty hunter scene and now I can finish it off(...until HT does even better BHs :lol)

It is clear phone shots are misleading for assessing proportions. Apart from lens distortion, a slight angle changes the picture into 3 point perspective where upper body seems bigger.

Fantastic photos! I'm getting a "dood in a costume" vibe. I never thought I'd be so happy for a Monday to come.

The only thing still bothering me is the short neck. He looks like hes perpetually shrugging because theres no gap between the helmet and his shoulders. Unless you tilt the head to the side. Need to extend his neck some how. Also someone said he could not look down. It looks like Vader's head is always tilted up.

Show me a single screenshot of Vader properly looking down. Impossible in the costume :lol

If anything, should compare to movie screenshots not RO or other Vaders. Neck looks fine, cloak or not will also cheat your mind a little.

Like I was saying.... :)

Echo...

This looks fine to me, can’t wait! My panic is now over, now let’s worry about how bad those early palpatine pics will be.

Mini review before I film tomorrow (have to head to work soon...)

This is a great representation of Darth Vader, if not the best in 1:6 scale in my opinion... my only MAJOR gripe is with the dome. It's pretty finicky and doesn't stay on unless you have it lined up properly, and afterwards good luck moving his headsculpt without the thing loosening and it needing to be reattached. Mine came kinda scuffed up too, so I emailed Sideshow to see about getting a replacement dome.

Aside from that, the gloves are much easier to swap, whereas it was a nightmare on the Rogue One version IMO. They definitely corrected his height, the diorama base is outstanding and truly helps to invoke the emotion of "No, I am your father".

I don't know what else anyone could want out of a Darth Vader figure. Highly recommend getting this if you don't already have a Darth Vader in your collection like me. I sold my Rogue One version a long time ago. I would pick this up over the Rogue One version as it's currently priced for retail on Sideshow, and the accessories are plentiful.

I haven't had the chance to play with the lightup features yet, but as always I'm not the biggest fan, and I'm not very excited of going to the trouble of turning four switches on.

So instead of the normal complaints about the sculpt or size, I will complain about the shipping!

Got this update today. "A train derailment has delayed delivery. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible."

Welp. Was supposed to get it on Monday but maybe not now. Of all things, I must admit I did not expect train derailment.

-insert Vader "no" meme here-
u beat me by a little bit there. I guess a lot of Vader’s are affected....
Same here as well. Was supposed to be a Monday delivery too. But now not too sure. Bummerz...
