I will absolutely buy this version of Rustedrod if they either A) make an Episode 2 Anakin or B) release the Padme they teased years ago with updated sculpt. Otherwise I'll wait for OT 3PO.

I would have to think Padme is coming our way with this announcement. The Geonosis look is probably her most iconic outfit from the Prequel Trilogy.

It’s definitely interesting that what once was a graveyard on the Sideshow Coming Soon page due to showing these protos at conventions has become an active point of discussion. It looks like that backlog may actually be used somewhat effectively. Silver 3p0 is still a weak decision imo. I guess at least it’s not the red arm.

Didn't I read that making plastic or diecast figures requires completely different molds due the differences in materials?
I swear I read some discussion somewhere that was saying as much and you can't just change materials for the same mold.

So, if this is a plastic 3PO I'd be betting the chances of a diecast one are much slimmer than I'd previously hoped.
I guess that'll be detailed to some degreee once the formal announcement hits..

Would be cool to see, but I think May 4th makes more sense. Might see the Dr Strange figures in the next day or two though.

1 each day up until May 4th would be cool

But we got all 5 reveals on May 3rd (early May 4th) last year, so maybe they'll stick with that.
