Re: Hot Toys - MMS300D11 - Avengers: AoU - Iron Man Mark 45

Just gone up for pre-order in the UK £305.00 +p&p ($470) way to rich for my blood and die cast which is a bit of an expensive waste of time, in my opinion,
so holding out for a plastic mk46.

It does look really nice though and I actually like the foot/hand effects and think they can improve the looks of certain figures if used sparingly.

Not sure that will happen unfortunately

The price is stupid. Plain and simple. Yet I'll keep buying them :ohbfrank:
I wish they kept it at $309, which seems fair, but it keeps rising just because they are coming with these fancy diorama bases, and War Machine didnt but still had the stupid $340 price tag :gah:

but yeah we're gonna keep buying them :thud:

I've nearly dropped $50 in points on this to make it 305, which feels about right ... but gotta save all pts for Hulkbuster ha

I do like the look of the die cast figures but no more than the plastic. I have die cast figures, there's Robocop a fantastic piece but not because he's die cast he looks no different in the Detolf than any other armored figure and had I a choice of die cast or plastic would have definitely gone the plastic route.

Die cast doesn't really 'add' anything to a figure except of course weight and cost both we can do without and of course the extra weight can add quite considerably to extra postage cost so we get a double whammy on cost = not good.
