Same here, i have all of them so far except for the Avengers . They are great books but The Avengers is not worth (IMO) the prices they are asking now.

Age of Ultron art book was my first... I've bought 4 since then. Road to Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Winter Solider and the Avengers, which I managed to pick up for $80 on ebay. I also pre-ordered Ant-Man and will probably get GOTG soon.

now whats missing is winter soldier and thor dark world.

The flames for the feet and hands do look pretty cheesy. They need to tone the color back and make them a bit more translucent... Someone did a mock up of that earlier in the thread and they look decent.

As for the price, I thought it was a bit out of range too until I seen the real paint application on it... I didn't think they could pull off the metallic look, but they did.
And it wouldn't come with another sculpt because we never seen Tony wear the suit without the helmet on. I'm willing to bet there will be an Age of Ultron Tony Stark at some point, and I hope it comes with the device Strucker had the the scepter inside of when Tony took it.

now whats missing is winter soldier and thor dark world.

I didn't even think about Dark World... It never came up while searching for art books on amazon and I kinda forgot about it lol.

And yes, $80 is ok... still a bit steep, but much better than the $300+ i've seen elsewhere. It has a small tear in the one corner of the slipcover that the guy didn't mention in his auction details, but the book itself is immaculate, couldn't pass it up.

The original Iron Man book, when I went looking for it, was all but unattainable at any reasonable price. I ended up buying a box set of 3 or 4 of the books for a more reasonable price, but you don't get the cool slip covers. I had to buy The Avengers book used to get a decent price.

yeah me wife bought me the set of 4 books.
i get my Avengers book used too, for 80pound at amazon. thats the lowest i found at the moment (it got a small tear at the corner of teh slipcover too. i guess its normal due to shipping & handling )

Oh I totally get that it happens. If I see a thread started by Hologram AI I know for sure that things will be made right when official specs are announced. When you see one started by someone who has 24 posts I'm not going to wait to assume they're going to make it right.

So, based on that thinking, you feel that the more posts you have, the "better" you are? I just don't think a high number of posts makes anyone better than newer members. Sorry, but in my opinion, it was rude to start your thread knowing that the other one existed long before yours.

Well it is true that whoever started the thread barely even matters at all, so just because they had 24 posts doesn't in any way make it an irrelevant thread. The guy who starts the thread doesn't tell people what to write, or whether or not they have to stop speculating.
