Now, I really did enjoy his Batman trilogy, but those movies just weren't cohesive with MOS.

Thankfully they weren't, otherwise they'd be having to start from scratch all over again with Superman because they've gone for a very different Batman in this version.

I've enjoyed Marvel, but I've always been a DC fan since I was a kid, so I'll be looking forward to those films.

I'm with you. For me its always been about DC.
The Movies have made me bigger Marvel fans but Batman and Superman will always be at the top of my list.

My first experience with Superman was Christopher Reeve

Couple of examples:

Forbidden Planet: £319.99

CDUK: £315 (less if you pay up front and or are an existing customer)

I'd really love to pick one up, but it's a eye watering tag. :thud:
- £230(SS equivalent)-£260 I would have pulled the trigger (more then likely)

I'm stuck with the European inflated prices as well, but you can get them a bit cheaper than that. From what I've seen so far Forbidden Planet is about the most pricey of the shops I've checked out. I buy mine at La Cité des Nuages which is Belgian. Price for the Iron Man Mark 45 is 399.90€ which is about £294,09, but if you buy a year-long membership as I have done which costs 30€ you get 10% on all orders bringing the price down to 359.91€ which is about £264,68. Add to that shipping which says it's £12.90 to the UK which is about £10 and you end up at a final price for the mark 45 at about £275. Still pricey but at least it's better than £315. And the membership more or less pays itself just on this one order.

Shipping is the joker, though as mine was twice the price as the 7.90€ advertised. Still going to be cheaper than both the ones you've mentioned above.

If anyone know of a cheaper (and dependable place in the EU) let us know. This one seems to get all the releases as far as I can tell, including the exclusive Iron Man Stealth mode.

Cheapest I've seen was £255 from onesixthbruce but they've filled all of their pre-order slots and there have been an insane amount of complaints about lack of communication and excessive delays, although as far as I'm aware everyone gets their orders fulfilled eventually if they don't ask for a refund first.

I'm going with Loontentoys (Hong Kong) on ebay with this, £255 as well but with free postage and the wait times are fairly short once it gets released. The UK retailers are all £300+ :gah:

That is tempting as I can see they have Scarlet Witch at a pretty decent price and Jan ETA rather then April like on CDUK
- It's a tough one!

I like supporting domestic dealers and I have never had a problem with CDUK, it's just the price of these EU pieces compared to SS is just so crazy. It's why I've only purchased one thing (detailed in next response) thus far from the AoU line.

I see the announcements, get excited and then get brought back to reality with the price tags. :gah:

Yeah, I've never used them so can't say for sure. I suspect they are probably just a small outfit and get swamped in orders, and those who raise concerns are used to a different business approach. As you say their prices often seem competitive and noteworthy, I've just never taken a gamble on them.

Funny you mention Loontentoys - I have my AoU Black Widow on order with them. I suspect Scarlet Witch is going the same way and just maybe - although I am considering La Cité des Nuages - the Mark 45.

It's not easy being a EU collector :(

Loontentoys will do it for $360 which is approx £235 if you buy direct and not through eBay. He's a reliable seller so no issue there, only issue is he asks for money up front and it's a lot of money to spend on something you won't see for over a year!
