It's definitely not on par with Sideshow if you live in the UK as you will definitely pay UK VAT on the Sideshow price whereas a lot of HK stuff gets through customs unscathed.

I've considered Loontentoys for this figure as it's expensive enough as it is and I've seen in a few posts here that people have had good experiences with him. I'm just worried about customs, as if VAT gets added then it becomes really expensive. Does it always go through without getting added an exorbitant amount of money? I once made the mistake of ordering something from the US and it ended up costing me twice the price because I forgot about VAT and the £18 the postal office slaps on just to let me know I forgot the VAT. I also haven't been able to find his shop outside of Ebay. Anyone got a link? Anyone ever had a problem with pre-orders not arriving? A year is a long time for this amount of money to be kept overseas where it won't be protected by many of the EU laws.

Now I just need to find out whether the Mark 45 should be my Iron Man piece in the collection or I should wait for Civil War. I have the armor test version arriving one of these days :yess::hi5: so I'm not too worried about not getting a Tony headsculpt with this and I really like the figure. But with Iron Man it seems like there is always another, better version on the other side of the hill. :gah: I'm worried the mark 45 is going to sell out before I make up my mind. Argh, it's not an easy hobby, this.

Loontentoys I believe declares as gift so yes, as is often the case these can pass through; save the random inspection from Customs.

Paypal gives us 180 days, so yea in some cases you stand pretty close to the edge with no hand rail.

I really love this figure too, but I am now smitten with the 46 concept images showing up on line. It's easy to say I'll wait for the next one, but the 46 could be a real game changer as the design looks beautiful lol

From experience you're far more likely to get hit buying from the U.S. than HK.

Loontentoys doesn't have a non eBay shop, just message him through eBay.

Uhh, I haven't seen those yet. Maybe I shouldn't look and just order the Mark 45. Makes the decision making easier :) Knowing Hot Toys the Mark 46 will probably be 25% more awesome and 35% more expensive.

How quickly do they ship after the HK release?

Depends how popular the figure is in HK, for example I bought my AoU Cap from Loontentoys a few months ago and it's shipping next week as he's struggled to get stock due to being a popular figure over there.

If it was something less popular then it's pretty quick.

The Mark 45 will probably have a slight delay due to Iron Man being very popular over there.

Made you look! :monkey3

I think that concept art looks stunning, so if the final piece is like that then SOLD

Only this hobby do we anticipate a figure that's probably 2 plus maybe 3 years out with the source it's from still in production.

Agreed. if the Mark 46 looks like that in the movie, I'm sold. Though I'm sure all those extra lights will jack the price up to around $400 :thud:

Yeah, I'm really hoping for this one to be plastic. There's a chance I'd buy this as my second iron man figure after MK45 and I want every light to actually work, so I'm hoping for plastic. I can't imagine them making a die cast fig with that many lights.

I find it funny that as hot toys raises prices, at first people are angry, but then when they release something with a similar price afterwards, people are happy that it's not $100 more, and will but it.

We probably shouldn't be excited about a $350+ figure

(But I am):lol

If it shares any parts of the 45 then it will be diecast. They won't make new tooling for a figure if they don't have to. It cuts the profit margin down to much.

if it does shares any parts of 45, and get made in diecast. i hope the price will be in the range of 45. well perhaps a bit more counting in those little leds and normal inflation ofcourse.

How about having these go back down to the Mark VI stock prices :lol I refuse to accept the Mark 42-45 as the new price range.

And chances are it's all new tooling.
