Wow, you're not kidding!

As I said before, I think we've seen the last of Extremis for a while because of AoS, it dragged on a bit too much in the end.

Yup that's what he meant. IM3 was Tony dealing with his insecurities, and taking out the metal shards in his chest was the conclusion of it all.

But other people read to deep into things :lol

I've noticed that some people will have watched another totally unrelated movie that turns out to have had a hidden meaning, well let's be kind & say maybe more than one movie in fact but from that point on they look for hidden meanings everywhere so they don't miss out again (or feel like they're coming late to the party). I hate fan theories, they drive me nuts being bandied about all over facebook. lol

Wow, taking things pretty personally aren't we? IMO, the reasoning for fan theories Extremis in AoU has to do with both the comic legacy (it was a big to do in the comics) and the fact that Tony needs to find a new way to interact/control his Mk. 45. So calm down.

New way to interact?? It's a suit of armor just wear it :lol

So it's safe to assume seeing as I've touched a nerve with you, your one of these fan theorists & want everyone to believe what you think?!? lol :rotfl

Oh I thought I replied to this :slap
I think I mentioned that, the organic design made me think that MAYBE this suit could have a biological connection with Tony. I think its the next step in the evolution of his suits, first he used bracelets (MKVII) then little implants (MKXII) its time for something more elegant :lecture

Giving up?

J/K
No seriously
I agree, I think we will see the next step in Tony's suits for control of them, either it will go further or (because of Ultron) a completely different way

Actually the "want(s) everyone to believe what you think" is you buddy. I never used the word HATE nor became aggressive. But I am one of those "fan theorists" because Extremis is the perfect explanation for armor control against Ultron to ME. Being as I've read most of the comics that had Tony dealing with Extremis (using it and purging it) I just think it makes sense. I'd ask how you think this biological control will be implemented but you've made it clear that this upsets you. Sorry mate, cheers!:horror

Lots of things upset me but I'll get over it. :) I'm more of a wait & see what they do in the movie kind of guy myself..., that's all. :)

Even if thats the case, it won't be called Extremis. That was used already in IM3 and using it again with a different meaning would be confusing for audiences

Hit, nail, head! It has to be remembered that the wider audience of these films is the 'casual' superhero fan who don't have a clue what's happening in the comics so it needs to be fairly straightforward for them. While I agree Extremis makes sense, I think Tony will at the very least rebrand it as Stark technology and maybe only reference it by name once in the whole film.

What I meant is if he controls the suit through his body(already showed a form of this in IM3) it won't be Extremis in any sense of the word, rebranded or not. Extremis in the movies is a DNA recode developed by Maya Hansen and used by Aldrich Killian to create Super Soldiers

Ah right, gotcha.

Expanding on that though, if you go to the facebook page of that company that makes those 3D printed arms as seen in the RDJ video, the kids control the hand opening and closing with 3 simple electrodes attached to their muscles. I always wonder how stuff like this was done.

On a side note, it's quite amusing how this thread has gotten so far in with virtually zero chat about the actual Hot Toy! When this thing actually gets announced its probably gonna need a whole new thread.

I honestly don't care about some fancy base or interchangeable BD parts (if they're only for the upper body) for the love of God just give a fully UNhelmeted version on Stark as he looks in AoU with ateast 90% likeness and I'll be so happy

Im really hoping they dont do that, id rather they do a flip up mask like the 43 and do a stark figure separately

So excited for the release of this figure. I wonder if they'll improve the articulation. Even if its plastic and not diecast, I hope they find new ways to advance its motion

Judging by the starboost I think theyve nailed the articulation now... only issue will be getting the shoulder armor right, so far theyve failed on every one
