I think we have to put this in perspective here. The one and only reason for Marvel to have Tony using the same suit again is simply to save money. We all know Marvel is cheap! If production costs are unlimited, they will not be recycling his suits and have new suits all the time. They did it in Avengers for Mark VI to save costs on effects (both CGI & practical). They are doing it again in A2 with the XLII recolor/XLIII again to save money on effects (possibly for Hulkbuster/Hulk fight). I like the Mark VI very much as well and the added screen time is much appreciated, but let's be mindful of the real reason why that's the case...

Just got caught up on the 3 extra pages that just appeared out of thin air from yesterday and I really like the comment someone made about the Mk. 45 being controlled organically. Now THAT would make sense as to how Ultron can't control Stark in that particular suit. I'm Really hoping that it will tie into what he used Extremis for "progress" at the end of IM3. I'm glad that they kinda left that wide open where the general audience believes that Extremis was used just so he could get the shrapnel out of his chest but those of us who read the comics know that Extremis enables Tony to control his suits by thought.
Of course the comic Extremis took a huge U-Turn and Tony eventually had to purge it from his system but I don't think we are quite there in the movies.

No doubt. All these gifs and then quoted gifs with extra gifs replied to quoted gifs with replied quoted gifs, well it's getting lame-o. I don't mean to sound conceited but I did have a really good point about Extremis being the reason that Stark is able to control a suit without Ultron being able to "hack in" (this isn't the 90's, nobody says hack anymore, lol) was a good discussion point. Instead we get gif central.
What enhancements did he make, I honestly can't remember and I ain't sitting through it again as I've only just recently watched it?
Also, extremis was the main topic in Agents of Shield season 1 and they've dropped it like a hot potato in season 2. Surely they've moved on from Extremis now?
Tony had nothing to do with extremis in Iron Man 3, it was Killians creation... Unless you're calling Mark 42 extremis, which it is not. But he did remove the arc reactor in his chest... Most of his armors have their own anyway. All of them have since Iron Man 2 if i'm not mistaken.

There's an offshoot chance that when Tony "fixed" pepper at the end, when he said why stop there, people think hes implying he did it to himself. I personally didn't get that and even if he did, movie Extremis doesn't effect ULTRON in any way.
I personally think it was just fans being mega fans and reading to close into things
I didn't get that at all when I first watched it.
Yeah, I suppose he would have to reverse engineer it to fix Pepper... But I also doubt they will ever incorporate the word or concept of extremis with the armors like they did in the comics. It's just not the same thing.

I thought by saying "why stop there" he was referring to the next bit where they take the Arc reactor out of his chest?

Yup that's what he meant. IM3 was Tony dealing with his insecurities, and taking out the metal shards in his chest was the conclusion of it all.
But other people read to deep into things
