I don't know why but I can't get into this figure. I think it's because it's so streamlined that it looks more like an android than an actual suit of armor. They eye shape bothers me too.

Using this analogy, what would Mark VI or VII be like in the Ferrari line up? How about Mark III?

:lol Dunno... that'll give me something to think of at work this afternoon.. The VII is very tank like, compared to the other main suits... The III and IV, or maybe the IV and VII could just about pass for the F40 and F50... Suppose it depends if you stick to Supercars or open it up to a broader field... I like the look of the Italia myself. I wonder what suit it could be...

Tony Stark can't afford to drive Ferraris, that's why he only drives Audis. :monkey3

(Runs off to Google Tony's garage to make sure he doesn't in fact own any Ferraris. Oh, who cares. Gives up)

It's Marvel fault that they cannot afford a deal with Ferrari. But Audi is not too shabby, but not exactly the same. At least it's better than driving an Acura! Ha!

My sentiments exactly. I had a hard time deciding between 43 and 45, but eventually, this is one of reasons why I personally prefer 43.
The organic design of 45, kinda makes him look more like an android rather than a suit of armor.
Both are great great design, I just personally prefer 43.

I feel the exact opposite. To me, I never really warm up to the 42/43 design as it looks almost too "boxy". The 45 design represents a clean break from the past designs. It looks different enough to make me feel like getting another armor.

I hope they can add the mask close light up
circuitry in this figure as in ant-man, its about time to do it.

I agree but that something they usually announce when a figure goes up for sale. It's not smart to add features later. I don't see that happening.

On top of that look at some of the issues people are having with the ant-man helmet. People complain that hot toys went cheap by not including two heads. But if this catches on in two years when they do two heads on a figure instead of the light up those same (type) of people will complain it's not included. Lol

Well HT did add the whole removable abs portion on the diecast MK3 after the fact so it could happen.

Also interesting to note that most of the HT IM figures state "36 or more" articulation points in the presale announcements while this the MK45 only notes "30 or more". I believe Igor and Hulkbuster are the only other two in the last few years that state under 36. Even the chopped down diecast MK3 states 36. So whats missing from this one? I still think there is something going on with the abs/waist rotation or lack thereof. And I hope Im wrong but I think there is a strong possibility that HT will implement the BS MK3 switch out abs feature on this too. Anyone, check out the pics below...can you see anyway of the waist swiveling? It appears that the abs/waist/crotch are one whole piece but I dunno. Anyone see this at SDCC have any input? I know this is a proto piece but as it stands there is no way it has waist articulation.

Based on the promotional pictures, there's some torso swivel with the chest (maybe even a little tilt action), and there's a hint of an ab crunch/extension. It does look like waist and crotch are all one section, but I think the Mark 42/43 are the same way. And I don't recall those having any waist rotation. It certainly looks more like the abs and below are one piece (the stiff poses aren't helping), but that may be due to the design of the armor itself rather than the figure.

Yeah the Mk3 ab crunch thing was something not advertised before hand. True. But that's one armor out of a lot. And I'm not sure it's an added feature. And it's a small little item that adds just a small production cost.

But I can't see them adding a helmeted face, with lights and not having that announced at release. It makes little sense business wise. Something like that could add to sales that matter. They deciede production numbers in the first 6 (average) months a figure is up for sale. Those are the times that matter. After that they are making a set amount of figures at at set price, so adding any features only lowers the margins/profits with no chance to add to sales. As they are making a set amount by that time.

I'm not saying it's impossible, they can do anything they want. Their license, their money, their time. It's just not something that's very likely.

As for the articulation on this...it doesn't have the leg flaps so that lowers the amount. It doesn't seem to have all the swap out missile parts. The articulation points on the torso will be pretty much the same as the other diecast armor. Save the mk3. If it had that same feature they would say so in advance. Same as they did with the mk3.

I wouldn't read to much into the promo photos as chances are it's not fully articulated. Prototypes are often limited in their articulation.
