This wait is too long, I think I'm going to go buy the centurion armor tonight.. Hopefully my local comic book shop will haggle on the price.. I think I'll have BBTS's page up on my phone with the figure in my cart and tell them to match the price, or at least come close. Lol. I doubt it'll work. This place never has sales or ever puts anything on clearance.

Also.. If you purchase something from a comic book shop, and it's the last one, the one they've had on display in a case.. Do you think you should have to pay full price for it?.. I've always wondered about the ethics of a situation like that.

I never saw the attraction to those things.

Neither have I.. Honestly, when I first started seeing them, I thought FOR SURE they'd all end up being clearanced or shipped out to discount stores. I guess that hasn't been the case. So many people like them. I'll admit that they seem very collectible.. I guess they sort of struck me as a collectors version of a beanie baby.

At least now I know why the site was down. All those gifs of the dude pounding the table must have loosened a connection somewhere.

:lol

You mean other people may have touched it? :horror :lol I'm a germaphobe but still. I wouldn't want to pay full price, especially if it's been in and out of the display case and possibly fiddled with.

If it were me, I'd just buy it from Popcultcha. It'd be about $210 for me including shipping. Depending on how you pay, you may have to cough up a little more in foreign transaction fees but I'd much rather have a brand-new figure.

Lol.. I HATE getting sick.. I open all doors with the sleeves of my hoodies.

Anyways. I just bought it.. Surprisingly they reduced the price of it.. So, even with tax it was cheaper than going through BBTS.. It was about $215. And they had 2 sealed figures in the back.

This is definitely one of those purchases where while I'm purchasing it, I'm thinking 'what the hell am I doing'.. But hey at least I can stop looking at eBay and checking out reviews of it. Lol.

gat dang, that paint job is something else

they went above and beyond to reproduce the look the armor had on screen

if only they would have done the same with robocop

:rotfl I could have sworn I posted that GIF after the site came back online. :lol

Congrats on buying Silver Centurion! :clap That's my favorite HPP suit and one awesome figure! :hi5:

They sure did. I think this is HT's most well done 1/6 scale Iron Man figure. :clap

Dude same about opening doors with sleeves. But other than that, the silver centurion is awesome. I don't have it, but I've seen it, and it's a very well designed figure.

thanks man! yeah.. i don't know what got into me.. i was literally perusing around on here at my kitchen table, and just thought.. 'you know, if my local comic book shop still has the centurion and i can get it for under $250, it's mine'.. well, turns out it was, and now it's mine lol. i wish i could go to a physical store to buy these figures every time. but usually they overprice everything by at least $50 if not more. the comic book shop in the local mall has the normal hot toys age of ultron hulk for $525.

anyways.. i agree.. the 45 is gorgeous. i think i'm going to have to wait until i have both the 45 and 46 to see which is better. the gold is just flat out striking on the 45.. but the 46 has pretty lights lol. for me, it's still the face mask that tips the scales in 45's favor.

Dude same about opening doors with sleeves. But other than that, the silver centurion is awesome. I don't have it, but I've seen it, and it's a very well designed figure.

i'm glad i'm not the only one. even in the summer i wear a super light hoodie just for that reason.. oh, and i have to go to a whole bunch of super markets for work and it can get a little chilly. but still, i'd rather sweat a little more than further risk catching something.

yeah, i'm excited to open it.. i'm not sure if i'll open it tonight, saturday night.. or maybe just wait until 42 arrives on monday and open them both.

i think i'm all caught up on the figures i really want and are relatively affordable to acquire. .. the mark 7, war machine mark 2, heartbreaker, shotgun, starboost, centurion, and the 42. if peacemaker and hot rod weren't so pricy, i'd like to have them.. and i'd also like to get striker, but i wish those things on his arms were removable, so he's not on the list.

hopefully we'll get hammerhead, disco, blue steel, piston, and nightclub. those and sneaky are the only others that i want. ugh.. i told myself JUST starboost and heartbreaker lol. that got out of control real fast.

Hey everyone! Look I'm right there with you all dying to get this masterpiece; it feels similar to my anticipation for the Mk. VII. Now what I'm going to say isn't coming from the extreme Iron Man fan that I am but my appreciation for figures as a whole.

SS just sent out emails for the Mk. XL (Shotgun) and I've had this figure for awhile since it was released in HK. Again, I'm not saying this as an IM Fanatic, I'm recommending this figure because of the unique design, incredible paint app, cool new light up features and most of all the articulation (best articulated IM armor released so far). It's supposed to be shipping on the 26th and even though it's not a "main armor" it has some great accessories including BD parts and a Stark headsculpt that doesn't require switching out helmets (similar to Ant-Man but much brighter).

Here are a few pics of the extreme pose I went for with mine, and trust me when I say that this thing can articulate like crazy.

yeah, it's a fantastic figure.

i really had to inspect the head to see how the light works.. i didn't realize the light was still in the head itself. it's cool how the faceplate catches the light.

my only complaint is the head movement.. the side-to-side movement is rather hindered.. but still, the neck mechanism is really cool. you're right about the rest of the articulation though. i love how far out the ankles pull, and all of the little panel movements around the ankles/foot. it's a very impressive figure in person. it's nice and sleek, and you definitely believe that it's meant to go fast.

oh, and the tony sculpt is awesome. you can't even tell there's a light tucked into his forehead.

Yeah, good point about the rotation of the helmet, definitely hindered by the HUGE air intakes on either side of it but I feel the rest of the figure/features more than make up for it. But you obviously know that already.

I basically posted about the figure for a couple of reasons. It's damn nice, it's going to be "in country" very soon and for anyone tired of waiting for Mk. 45, Shotgun will definitely help with the wait. Just In my opinion of course.

Funnily enough, I actually just bought the Shotgun from Timcent the other day! I had no plans on buying him but I got a sudden urge last week and decided to go for it. Shouldn't be long before he gets here now.

Still can't wait for the 45 though, in all the photos we've had so far he looks incredible.

Yeah, like I said the last time I was this excited for a figure was the Mk. VII so obviously the Mk. XL can't be a substitute for the Mk. XLV. Still, Shotgun really took me by surprise and I think you're really going to like the options. Make sure you keep it close with all the parts out for at least a few days because the options are surprisingly high.

Did you just go for the regular without the mini Python? Since I own Tank, I decided to go with the SE and now that I have 3 minis I'm actually hoping we see them include them more often with the rest of the HPP armors. People seem to think that HT does too much IM but since I'm a crackhead for these suits, I can't wait for the rest of the HPP line, especially the Mk. XV Sneaky (which really surprised me when announced since it's a completely new mold).

Between the Mk. 8-41 (HPP line) they still have 18 of 33 suits to release/reveal. Even though everyone except the Mk. 15 and Mk. 37 are essentially kitbashes, that's still over half the armors that will be spread out over years (if we're lucky). I think if we see HT release Hammerhead (Mk. 37) within the next 18 months, there's a good chance that they will finish the line (but it's very possible we might see the infamous Blue Steel repaint show up or Shades or even Jack, Disco, Piston beforehand).

Lol, sorry for the rant, just love IM and as much as I'm awaiting the Mk. 45 I'm also very keen on finishing the HPP line since there are some cool designs that would look great in an armory!

Yeah when I saw the proto I was pleasantly surprised, they've really given us a lot for what is, at the end of the day, a suit with fifteen seconds of screen time. I handle my figures more than most so I think I shall make be making the most of those options.

Yeah, in fact I don't ever bother with exclusive versions. I wasn't planning on getting any HPP armours at all, there are only a few which I actually like (SC, Shotgun, Starboost) and I never really felt the need to get any of those until now.

They'll definitely finish them. It will probably take a few more years but eventually the people who want the full HPP will get the full HPP!

Good choice on the regular if you're not going for the full line and/or don't have Tank.

By the way, as far as choices for HPP armors, those 3 are definitely top shelf (with Starboost being one of my all time favorites). But man, you should really check out Mk. 15 Sneaky (looks like an armor made from a stealth fighter) and if you ever get another IM itch, I'd really recommend Heartbreaker/Tank. Honestly I only recommend HB over Tank for people who have to get the classic colors. I was in love with HB until Tank blew it out of the water with its incredible paint app.

And yeah, I heard that HT will definitely finish the other 18 suits AND pretty much confirmed that Mk. I,II & IV-VII will be remade in diecast because of the popularity.

Actually, the hammers do come off of the arms. The only thing is that there are still little arm guards/bracers, so you don't get completely clean hands/arms.

I do like Sneaky too, probably just not enough to buy. Part of the reason I love Shotgun is because of its fighter pilot style helmet and its fighter jet themed looks.

I'm not mad about that particular design, it's just not to my tastes. I love SC because it's SC and Starboost because it has those awesome spacesuit looks.

Yeah I think it's pretty likely that the rest of the original seven will be redone, not sure if I'd get all seven or not though. Haven't even got the III yet, haha.

And if you're thinking about Striker TimothyR, honestly the better painted one is Gamma. I know it sounds weird with the green and purple hue grey but it looks so much better than Striker In my opinion.
