I've got two Shfiguarts Iron Man figures. ..they look great though the one big drawback is that they are anorexic as people have noticed about this Mark 45. Hell, this figure looks beefed up in comparison.

^ agreed. I'm more lenient when it comes to being super accurate and detailed with smaller scale stuff.

Btw, I just saw budget stark's 2 new videos and he talks about the 45 in the first. But not the hot toys one, the kings arts version. And this got me wondering, do any of you have 1/9 scale iron man figures? Because from the pictures and all the info I hear, it sounds like a good alternative to HT and goes easier on the wallet

king art is a relatively new company, just about 15 months old. their releases so far are mainly the 1/5 scale helmet heads,
and a few others like the CA shield(1/1 scale), CA phone charger stand(1/4 scale), etc.
so far they have yet to release a 1/9 scale iron man figure, 3 started PO before ultron prime and another 4 or 5 prototypes announced.

from the prototypes KA has produced so far, its awesome. the paint work, likeness and scaling are spot on.
very close to HT standard, if not better. just the articulation and durability are still an unkonwn to all of us.
because we all know the making of prototypes is one thing, mass production is another. so there is still a
big question mark on their 1/9 diecast figure.

Couldn't of said it better myself. I'll wait to see how their first releases are before pulling the trigger. Hopefully they nail articulation and mass production quality.
Their mark 42 is supposed to be released q1 of 2015. If it turns out good I'll definitely consider their 45 too

It's a triangular shape but it's not a sharp triangle like the Mark VI. It has a few extra edges... albeit small edges.

Not even sure what you'd call that.

The technical name is an 'irregular hexagon' as all sides aren't equal. If they were, it would be a 'regular hexagon' (naturally).

I feel ashamed that I never looked at silver centurion close enough to notice it wasn't a sharp triangle... That's actually pretty awesome. I've always loved the centurion since I had the first toy of him. But my point in bringing it up before was that I'm pretty sure mark 45's isn't supposed to look like that. And it does in that picture.
