personally I'd ask for a replacement

the amazing paint job is one of the main draws of this fig and having a blemish that big would bug the crap out of me

it looks like someone dropped it or touched it while panting it because even the marks on the red part are far larger than what's on mine

When i took it out of the box, there was a tiny piece of foam on it, that looked like they just painted over it.

Ya for the price you paid I would probably request an exchange but from the picture it blends in with the other battle damage

SS will exchange it but I probably would have never noticed it it blends well.

If they send just a replacement body you will have to destroy it and send them pictures or they will charge you for the replacement part. I have never had to send anything back but have destroyed 3 or 4 things.

Huh. That's pretty crazy. I understand the reasoning but it feels odd that destroying it is part of an official policy. Although I'm sure they're not the only ones who have that.

I've only had one fig replaced(berserker pred) and felt really weird about destroying the original so I did it as epically as I could imagine.

Lit it on fire and then smashed it with a cinder block.

It's to limit people scamming parts and reselling them. They used to not require the destruction. But then people would request parts and then sell them online. Things like that. They tried doing the you send in the broken part then we send it back. But it just cost them time (which is money) to catalog and inventory and open it all, and customers complained about shipping ect

Yeah I understand the reasoning behind it. I just think It's just funny knowing that it's part of their policy to destroy it.

A lot of places.do this. It is actually cost them less money to have you destroy the defective item then having them get shipped back

Actually, my battle version caps zipper on his back was broken and they actually had me ship him back for a replacement. They provided a pre paid shipping label. Thats the first time that i actually had to ship something back.

I received a replacement for the default chestplate and didn't have to destroy or ship the defective one back. Maybe depends on the size of the part?

No, it's every part. Was it from SSC? If so the person just forgot.

I just remembered i did get one part that i did not have to destroy but like you said they probably forgot. It was a replacement helmet for my SS Vader i think it's in box someplace.
