Mine arrived here in the U.K today.... along with a UPS Customs bill of £43.77!!! This coupled with the $40 delivery means it is the last figure I'm going to get direct from Sideshow!.

holy cow mate!

I lucked out- I had a little extra couple of tufts of hair in the box.
They obviously glued the hair on and then gave him a haircut. So it was in his collar. (perfectly cut)

As nice as the Hot Toys Yoda is, I decided to save a few pennies and customise a cheap Yoda figure that I picked up on eBay for around £7. Added Sideshow hands & feet (a full set cost me £13), and gave him a re-paint and weathered his outfit. I'm not particularly happy with my re-paint on the eyes though, so they will need to be re-done. I think you can achieve a really good look with this figure with just a little work, and for a fantastic price too!! :clap

Changing the subject but what Mohawk Mogwai is that?
Sorry, I love Gremlins and wanna make sure I haven't missed something lol.
Sorry about the delay. It took me quite a while to find out which company it was, since no identification on the item itself. It was the Jun Planning Mohawk Mogwai. I'm pretty sure I kept the box (looked like a crate) because it was a very expensive import, probably 10 or so years ago.

Here's a comparison with the old medicom version...nice for it's day but highly inaccurate...View attachment 343852

as much as it pains me to say... you're right. The posture is everything. The HT Yoda is too upright. No hunching at all, which is like... all indicative of being the hermit yoda is. But to be fair I haven't seen anyone posturing him this way in their photos? Would've been nice if the body mold was just molded hunched though.

The Medicom likeness is way off; does look creepy indeed, but not in the way Yoda is supposed to be creepy. Conversely, while the likeness is still way better, the open eyes sculpt of the HT one is a bit too symmetrical and perfect.

The HT closed eyes sculpt I feel bears the best likeness and representation for ESB Yoda. Body is debatable.

Got my Yoda yesterday, anyone got it in a box like this? Looks like it was stained with something and SS just covered it up and shipped it like that. Some of it seeped into the inside. Thankfully, the figure box is fine. Yea, I don't request a pack out, but still crappy SS would ship a dirty box like this, especially if they didn't check the inside for possible damage.

That's pretty bad for SS to send it like that.

Ordered mine off eBay and it's arrived in the country, hopefully I'll get it tomorrow.

The air in here is starting to feel like this figure is a 'duty' rather than a 'joy'...

Are people truly underwhelmed by this figure? Is it just the size that's off-putting?

I dig him! Heres my meager photo contribution. :clap
I can't display him anytime soon because of a vengeful cat.

It was a bit of work getting him set up for such a diminutive figure, but once he is, he's a joy.

I think it's a great release. Small yeah, but so what? Comes in at the low side of $200, and let's face it at this point it's as cheap as any hot toys fig is going to get. Even comes with a terrific alternate sculpt which never happens anymore and both heads surprisingly got pretty great real hair. It's hands down the best 1/6 yoda ever and that might not change in my lifetime. Dio base is very nice too. If you have a mid to large OT collection I can't imagine passing.

Do you have a link to the eBay auction if it wasn't a one off?
