I think it's a great release. Small yeah, but so what? Comes in at the low side of $200, and let's face it at this point it's as cheap as any hot toys fig is going to get. Even comes with a terrific alternate sculpt which never happens anymore and both heads surprisingly got pretty great real hair. It's hands down the best 1/6 yoda ever and that might not change in my lifetime. Dio base is very nice too. If you have a mid to large OT collection I can't imagine passing.

Good, just sounded like a lot of complaining in a row I guess.

I'm still planning to pick this up... but today was Snowtrooper Day. Thank you very much, Mr. FurgusonHat.

I'd go for it indeed.

The body is a little fragile (he's old though, so gotta give him a pass) and it has its shortcomings, but as TFH mentioned, if you have a pretty good sized SW collection, I can't imagine passing on this. It's the best Yoda representation out there. He looks cool once displayed on the shelf, even without the Dagobah base (as I have mine).

I love this figure. Best yoda to date. I've had the Hasbro, Medicom, both Sideshows and now this one. Definitely my favorite.

It's my first Yoda, so I definitely like it. I would also like a prequel Yoda with light saber.

Here's my custom with the Hasbro body and a closed eye I yoda head I got off of eBay! I am waiting to get my full figure but I rather like the darker robe look.

The air in here is starting to feel like this figure is a 'duty' rather than a 'joy'...

Are people truly underwhelmed by this figure? Is it just the size that's off-putting?

I haven't posted about the figure yet, but I was maybe the slightest bit underwhelmed initially, but not due to the size. The hair looks like a shoddy afterthought on the sideburns, so it could maybe use some added fibers there--looks like he may still have some glue residue there too. And the body is a bit floppy so I didn't feel I could do to much in the posing department.

I have mine in the detolf and it makes me wish I had a shelf that was full on dagobah. Don't have an Empire Luke so I have him with Ben now and added the base from the deluxe Death Trooper as that looks pretty similar to Yoda's environment. Pretty happy with him now.

Ah the rotj "ghosts". Now just need to add Hayden Christiensen :monkey3

Yeah, TonTon your Yoda looks great there.

Greedy me wants Yoda after just preordering Snowtrooper. :lol I'm still hoping this will be one of the ones I can get off ebay for a bit less than SS.

Mine's arm broke at the elbow not 10 seconds out of the box. All I was trying to do was take his hand off to remove the plastic. Now trying to decide whether to just glue it on and, most likely, lose the double jointed elbow or deal with getting a replacement from SS.

Can I ask you how u pulled the hand off? I was concerned as well at how much force (no pun intended) I needed to use. I grabbed the forearm with my other hand to ensure I didn't pull the arms off the little bugger. Did u do that as well and it still broke? Thanks

Loving the recent Yoda images. What I'm also noticing is that my desire to purchase this is fading. I no longer feel the need to order Yoda (as of now). Kind of happy as this is an$320 CAN savings.

Couldn't resist one more...floating Yoda

Can't believe no one has complimented you on that yet! Very cool! What are you using for the levitating disc Yoda is sitting on?

Got mine the other day. Really love this little guy.

Thanks! I got the electromagnet off of eBay a while back. There are many to choose from but I got one of the stronger ones that will hold around 800g (~ 1.5 lbs.). If you search floating magnetic display on eBay you will find them.

I'm hoping to use it on a 1/6 landspeeder someday or maybe Rey's speeder.

I totally agree on price... he's an excellent figure and I'm very happy to have him; but he does not come with much. I respect that it's a unique body; but that's not unusual for HT.

But when you compare him to how much the 2 Sideshow Yoda's came with (especially in terms of extra feet and hands) this figure is pretty light. Still, it's Yoda and it certainly looks much nicer than the Sideshow version; even if the Hot Toys one doesn't have any pants :lol

Indeed, but I still love it. Good to hear from you GB... boy do we go back. :lol

Cool, thanks!

It's a difficult one, he's both great AND underwhelming. Great sculpt, diorama, accessories, good to have a second head and hands either to use or to sell. I think the skin tone is a little dark - he's like the old Kenner brown snake Yoda rather than the orange snake Yoda (which I preferred). The body is a little tall and a little floppy to me.

Believe it or not there are differences between different figures that look like batch differences! I've got two - one to go in a hut, the other to go in a backpack - and the second has a nicer robe (better fitting, better 'dirt' apps, less 'damage', which I think is good, and a slightly lighter skin tone (but some people would say I'm imagining that).

If anyone has the Gentle Giant Jumbo Yoda figure I'd be interested to see a comparison. I'd love to mash up some elements of that with the HT.

:lol I must have V2, better dirt apps on the robe, plenty dirty, lighter skin tone, no dark green nose, less brown crease effect.

Nice shot ton ton, looks like you have a V1. :lol
