A big :lol to those uptight about the sculpt. Relax, there will be another Luke with another head to complain about, likely more than one version of Luke, and that figure will actually have accessories and be able to do more than hold a robo hand in the air.

Collect your 'Captain Obvious' award on the way out of the thread. :lol

Anyone have an idea when Luke will go up for pre-order based on past SDCC experiences?

I dunno how anyone is defending this piece of ****! It's likeness to Mark Hamill is just non existent! I think this is one of their worst head sculpts to date, unless Jeff Bridges now plays Luke Skywalker!

There's some of that nerd hyperbole I have come to expect in these threads. :lol

I'm not overly fond of the sculpt. I really have to concentrate in order to see Mark Hamill in it. From some angles it more resembles Tom Cruise, IMO. :p I like the outfit though and the accessories are great. The prototype was really good. I don't know if it's the different paint app or if they changed the sculpt on the production pieces. I put the goggles on mine, they help reduce the conehead effect somewhat. :)

Adjusted so it conforms to thread comments on the VII Luke.:lecture

Have you done any of your own paintwork on him? He looks pretty good? (Off topic i know, wrong thread...)

So we all agree sculpts are subjective, yes?

Then, just to throw it out there, does anyone take issue with the JNIX Han sculpt?

Personally, I think it's remarkable - and undeniably Han Solo ANH.

I think the actual facial likeness of the VII sculpt is better than the IV sculpt, but the IV sculpt at the moment is better by virtue of the prototype VII sculpt looking airbrushed and lacking any sort of detail.
