I don't want to pay this much for a supporting character and the diecast gimmick is just a ruthless way to charge more, way more. Not a fan of IM2 WM (Read:Bad HS). Probably not interested in the diecast Mark XLII either. May get the heartbreaker XVII diecast, depending on how they address all the detail and presumably the BD, as I have a few points at SS...

40% Diecast :rotfl and they got people paying more with no extra's, you getting ripped guys, I just canceled as I thought it would be at least 80% for that price!!!

Skipping out on this one for sure. Will get the Mark 3 and 42 and possibly stop there. 40% is just lazy. Should have been 80% at least.

No amount of die-cast could justify that price-tag.. :lol

You're paying for the character, the movie and the brand.

My main concern on the Mark XLII is that given how HT operates, they will make the
"Pepper HS"
an exclusive item, which will piss me off and a lot of others as well, i presume.

:exactly:

I own Mark VI and have Mark VII on PO, will definitely get Mark III and XLII die cast versions...and might be interested in a Pepper Potts (normal or armored, fine by it) and Heartbreaker

Just trying to work out how HTs at 40% diecast weighs 1.5kg but Play Imaginatives is 88% and weighs 1kg :dunno

Which is why we should wait until it's actually confirmed as far as information goes.

This AND wait until someone has this in hands to actually be able to compare whether its worse, equal to, or better than what we've been use to getting.

Despite opinions that the metal is being added just to justify the price increase, I'd find it hard to believe that the quality will go down because HT decided to add the metal.

Putting price aside, HT quality as increased A TON since MMS1. They didn't make this change to go backwards.

I agree with the quality quote, but I do feel they have only added a bit of metal as some sort of gimmick, so they can bump up the price thinking we may pay it :slap
My god there isn't even any accessories ffs, I just had to Cancel, I can't justify it.

Very possible. We'll never know for sure. The prices of HT have been steadily ( and greatly ) increasing for @ 18 months now. Thats not something any of us will have control over. We either keep shelling out the money, or leave the hobby. No one is giving them any REAL competition. Even if EB is putting out equal quality stuff, they aren't doing the volume that HT is.

Basically, we're all SCREWED!:slap:slap:slap:slap

Maybe for someone not planning to buy.

Ur correct, Im not planning to buy... now that I see what their trying to pull on all of us with this whole new Diecast feature is very good way we can charge more. If it had been a standard mms release for a not great but expected price of say 240us they'd have many more preorders and possibly mine.

But like with all things.. Greed destroys everything.

I'm sure the FANBOY posts will follow this post, but I totally disagree. They aren't forcing us to do a thing. They aren't stealing from us. They don't have the authority to take money out of our bank accounts without our permission.

They are a business. They are in it to make money. They aren't our friends or pals. We aren't entitled to anything but what we choose to pay for. We either buy their products, which is a show of support, or we don't. CLEARLY, enough people around the world, support HT enough to stay in business. I hate their lack of communications. But they make some damn good collectibles. And I am in until I am priced out.

At the moment.

I agree with everything else u stated. And further, when we're all on the same page about being priced out.. When that day finally comes because this "make all the money we can even at the expense of customer satisfaction" trend is going to continue...Rip HT
