Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

I think the puffy pants could have been avoided with the elimination of the side pockets. I've always wondered why Cap needed them in the first place, since he has his comms device on his hands; you'd think Cap would be inclined to leave his wallet and keys behind before heading off to potentially end-of-the-world fights :lol

Didn't serve did you?

More pockets the better on uniforms- which this is. I think it's practical and looks great.

I'm not overly fond of the red piping framing the star. Just seems like an unnecessary bit of business. Also wish the stripes were straight instead of that weird 'nasal strip' shape.

I'm a Corpsman

I'm a Soldier, like the good ole Captain.

After seeing Budget Stark's video tour of Toy Soul , these AoU figures are certainly an improvement over "The Avengers" figures.

Just as I feared. I'm adding another Cap to my collection. I really like the bases for this line though.

Yeah not really being discussed that much but I like the design, the GOTG bases are also cool and its good to see HT move away from those plain boring black ones

Anything is better than the dinner plate sized dynamic bases, lol

I actually like those bases. I know they are harder to display and store. But I like the size. It's more of a diorama feel. I know I'm in the minority, I think. But I'd rather have them larger. I wouldn't mind them having additional arm things to hold figures and place them opposite sides. That way if you have say thor and Loki you could use one base and display them in a fight scene. They would need to be a little different then currently designed, but that would be my ideal fix for space.

I suppose it's more up to display preferences. I'm more into museum poses so the smaller base the better for me, but for someone that likes action poses amd fight scenes I can understand the need for a bigger base. Interlocking diorama bases would work for your idea.

Very true. Good idea.

I actually prefer museum pose myself. Lol almost all of mine are. But I like having the option. And it's easier to imagine a pose with a dynamic base. Until I got my mos one everything was museum pose. But now superman is flying. Well floating kinda. In a museum pose. Lol but my ASM2 spidey has a more action pose.

I guess I just feel like it's more bang for my buck with the bigger stands. Even if they don't get extensive use. Lol

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

I like the Light Thor base. :dunno

Me too. But I have not found a pose that looks right on it yet. It's probably the best looking base I have (I don't have the older spidey one or the reeve superman or the luke one which are all cool) and I can't find a good way to use it. Lol

I thought that in the past, a little like the Figuart bases in that regard; would be perfect for displaying a flight capable character either facing off against (good for Thor vs Cap from the first Avengers) an enemy or backing up a team mate.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

This will be my definitive Cap for my collection.

I'm yet to get a Cap and was going to limit myself to the quintessential version. Was leaning towards the Avengers 1 one but this is winning me over.
