I'm yet to get a Cap and was going to limit myself to the quintessential version. Was leaning towards the Avengers 1 one but this is winning me over.

I'd take this over the Avengers version.

After deciding against the STRIKE Cap I have decided this has to be the point where I get him... if the one from Cap 3 or Avengers 3/4 ends up better and in my eyes more definitive theres always the option to sell up amd trade in.

From what I have seen you generally dont loose money selling an Iron Man or Cap you bought at retail and should recoup your original spend to reinvest.

Well I came into this long after the Avengers line had sold out, and its not so much a "I will wait for AoU and pass The WS version" as was it deciding against it due to saving the budget for the later release (which ia a shame as I loved the film).

To be honest Python is more to blaim for this, I was just going to grab Silver Centurion from IM3 but that was one gorgeous armor and too good to miss!

Exactly! Just pick one you like best at present. There will always be new ones till the Marvel movie series ends. I have too many Caps (1st avenger, GA, Stealth 2pack) now so will pass on this. I would like to see a Cap like the Marvel Now series with the current open ear helmet though. That would be my definitive Cap.

I really love this figure. It's my fav Cap to date. I'm not sure what a Definative version would look like for me. But this is a great looking figure. I love the overall look. And the details seem well done. It's a modern take on a classic suit, (which was the intent I know) and it will be my first Cap. Only two other Caps came out since I started collecting hot toys. The strike suit and golden age. Both of which I like, the GA more so. But it sold out before I pulled the trigger. The strike suit is great imo but the colors are not my fav. I still think I'll grab it loose if I find it cheap enough. But ill PO this Cap as soon as it goes up.

It's always amazed me how all the Captain figures got baggy pants and bane got fitted pants...never made sense

Good for you! I want to like this figure as I agree with what you said on the modern take but there is just so much going on. Too many red strips coming outta nowhere and the red around the star etc. Also not a fan of the harness which I think is used to break the colors to prevent too much blue. No real functional reason as he can just put some magnetic strips on his uniform to put his shield on his back like he has on his forearms anyway. Still it is quite nice looking but too similar to stealth Cap for me. I want a Cap I can use to go on black ops too.

I agree, I like the straps. Neutral about the red though. Doesn't bother me either way
