wait wait wait. I just realized. Since there are no straps on this shield, that means we kinda can't just get these shields for our older figures unless we get magnets or somehow find the strapped version that came with GA Cap. Crap...
Exactly what I realized... I had intended on getting this shield when he was parted out for Stealth Cap. So much for that lol.

That'll teach us for trying to outsmart Marvel Costume designs :lol

Yup, I love it

Definitely my favourite look for him :clap I bet it will look great next to BW

Perfect right? I like Widows design too, and Hawkeye....... all three would look great together

That'll teach us for trying to outsmart Marvel Costume designs :lol

haha :joy

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

I'm fine with no straps. I'm sure it's a Stark upgrade for Cap in the movie. I just hope it doesn't become a problem later on the finished figure. Falling off and what not.

I was thinking that, but more along the line of WS showed that you kept it at home with him; so what doea he do when he is out of uniform now as he was for a good part of that film?

Unless he now maybe has two of them or can swap the attachments over in universe.

Good point. How is Steve gunna carry it when not suited up?

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

I'll prob try to glue an extra set of shield straps that I have to this new shield and see how that works out.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

Maybe stark injects magnets into his forearm like he did for the Mark XLII suit:dunno

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

The magnet thing sounds like a good solution.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

There are little indentations for fingers too.

Exactly. I have no idea where the "he has magnets so it can now never be held unless he's in costume" assumption started.
Let us assume he can always hold it and they will work out a way.
It could be as simple as a magnetic strap he wears on his arm when he's wearing civvies, or magnets in his civilian clothing as well as his costume.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

The shield has handles on it. They are just metal fold down. So he may have to actually use his low tech hands when not in costume but he can still hold the shield. I Am not sure why anyone would think otherwise.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

The way the new shield bracket is designed, I'm not so sure Cap can carry the shield the way he normally does when he's out of uniform. The fold-out handle looks just big enough for the hand, even if his forearm fits through that it'll be a super tight squeeze. The slots in the bracket are for the magnetic bits on his suit, they're not meant for fingers. Who knows, maybe the shield has another feature that's not immediately obvious to me that allows civilian Steve to carry it.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

That'd work. I feel like it might hurt or feel weird tho....

Nah nothing hurts Cap! :lol

yeah but it doesnt have the same grab and go appeal :lol

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure (Toy Sou

They should have went with the zero point energy shield for AoU. No need to worry about handles, or Ultron melting it down for the vibranium.

Carrying different is, still carrying it. So he may need to use his hands, but it's not like that's the end of the world. Nor is it going to be common that Rogers is running around at the mall, Walmart, Starbucks with his shield. It has handles. He can carry it. The rest is athsteticllasytetically (no idea what the heck that word is but I started to type aesthetics and it popped up. Stupid auto correct. Funny word. Lol)
