Gareth Edwards said in an interview somewhere that he'd watched a 4K version of ANH at Skywalker Ranch (whatever 4K is...).

That was made in 2012 by Lucas and it definitely isn't a theatrical version. I don't know if they'll ever be allowed to release a proper theatrical version as it might be part of the deal that they aren't allowed.

Well, that site has a download limit which I exceeded after part 1. There are 7 parts to download. Took an hour for 1. To hell with it. I'll wait for Disney to release the originals.

I got so many versions of Star Wars OT on VHS that I didn't get into that with DVD... and consequently missed the original theatricals.

There are easier ways of going about it. You can get the Blu-ray's on this site in the Harmy despecialized thread, or download them via Torrent.

Yea , I have it on record too.....for you youngsters thats a plastic disk you put a sharp needle on that makes sound......

It was once a prized possession , because you could listen to the movie over and over......well before VCR.

I have this as well. My parents bought it for me after seeing ANH for the first time back in 77. I used to listen to it at least a few time a week back to back. Then go out in the garden and create a whole new adventure with my figures and ships. Good times

That site is for the Team Negative1 version.

I downloaded the 1.6 GB and it looks fine.

Also have a Blu-ray set from Harmy, and the original versions on DVD in the set that came packed in a tin with the special editions (which I found cheap in a car boot sale some years ago).

Very nice. Sounds like you're all set with the movies.

You can also get the Team Negative1 version on Blu-ray in the Harmy thread. I got a copy and it's set up very well, you honestly wouldn't know it's a burned movie by how great the presentation of the menus and opening video are.

My LCS has one of these in stock. I was saving up for another figure, but I think I might grab this in honor of Carrie.

Leia was also one of my childhood heroes and I'm not sure we'll get another figure like this again.

If all that was posted in figure threads were pics and comments about the figure then this thread would've dropped to page three a long time ago. Posts decrying reasonable thread tangents are boring and, coming from someone who has barely engaged with the community in over a year since joining, kinda rude.

As long as there's no flame wars going on, I personally don't see any issues when the conversation in a thread digresses a bit from the figure if the conversation is momentarily shifting in a particular direction based on a previous comment or comments.

If one has an issue with it, feel free to post a picture of your figure, make a comment or ask a question pertaining to the figure to get the thread talking about the figure again, instead of essentially telling everyone else to only talk about the figure, then never post in the thread again for ages.

Still tweaking since taking the pic, I've made Leia's head turn more natural looking. The only problem with matching the ANH promo pic, Leia has her eyes looking right. Hard to do with eyes straight on sculpt.

If you want it I'd grab it quickly if I were you.

I had been leaving Leia as an eventual purchase, as there had been plenty of stock around everywhere, so put her on the back burner due to Christmas and other priorities, only for Carrie Fisher to sadly pass, and for all the stocks of this figure to swiftly disappear soon after. Haven't been able to track one down for a reasonable price since. Now I'm just hoping for an ESB Leia sooner rather than later...
