I've shopped there before and shipping is prob $30-$40 if you choose EMS. So it's basically retail.

Their prices are crazy cheap for some HT. Rey is $150 and Finn is $130.

I'm not sure what the shipping would be like, but this seems like it would still be a good deal for a new Leia:

At current exchange rate $195 + shipping. I can't imagine shipping being more than $30-40 from Amiami. You can email them and ask what shipping will be before buying single items I think.

Thanks for the tip! I tried to place an order for delivery to the US but got the error "Your order includes an item that is unavailable for your country." Maybe someone else (in another country) will have better luck.

Ahoy!

Finished making a new dress for this ol' gal. In fact, this is my first venture into fabric costuming, and I must say this was a major challenge. Its not perfect by any stretch, but I am pleased with the results. Forgive the blueness, as it's the color LED's... I'll take some pics in standard lighting at some point.

Cheers

Nice!! :clap I think it looks great - excellent work! :)

Awesome work Ahab! I'm finishing up my Leia dress as well, and I have to agree about it being a challenge. Especially when it comes to getting the collar and hood on there right.

I would have this figure if Hot Toys would made it in this way...

Ahoy!

Thanks for all the kind words! Much appreciated!
Here are a couple more shots... I think the one on the right is still wet from water treatment.

Cheers and thanks for lookin!

Certainly a vast improvement. Well done, Ahab.

Still not sure what to do with this one. I see several popping up on eBay these days, people making room for the Empire version with the better outfit.

WOW. I have Luke from ANH and I would liked to have Leia... but when I saw the HORRIBLE clothes... Fantastic work, Ahab.

GREAT job, man. Looks fantastic! Can't believe it's your first go?! Congrats. I'd be more than happy with your dress over the abysmal HT version.

If you decide to do a small run, I'd be in. I'm sick of waiting for the mythical Yunsil version to magically appear - and yours looks better than all bar-one of her "prototypes."

Ahoy!

I haven`t seen any prototype yet and I as well would go for a run on these leia dresses.

You look to have got a cleaner cut on the sleeves than I did on mine, and the drape looks great, especially on her chest & waist. Lovely work.

Does yours have a hood? I found that the hardest part, followed by the collar.

Here’s my effort, which has been previously posted on this thread (apologies!):

Nice Job! Yeah, I ended up not making a functioning hood, but just in the hanging position. I may revisit one day, but this girl wore me out! And for sure, getting a clean cut was a little tricky as I didn't hem any edges. I used one of those circular fabric cutting blades and a cutting matte to get the sharp edges. Oh, and I had a lot of fabric incase I screwed up...which I did!

I found the custom leia dress that a member made on the forums years ago when there was a custom ANH leia sculpt that was floating around I believe it`s still on ebay even before HOT Toys got in the game. as I remember we all disliked the ss monkey face leia sculpt all we had at the time. so here is a photo of the HT leia in that custom dress.IMG_0347.jpg IMG_0348.jpg
