Thank you, sir!

Looks great, Ed! Looks like it fits her really well, lot of nice folds.

thanks Ian. yeah I was surprised too as this dress was used on the SS ANH leia body as I don't think we had that many female body choices that would work for Carrie body style then. I did some water treatment on the sleeves to make them look drape like they were heavy.

Well here's my attempt at a Leia dress. It was definitely more challenging than I expected and took some trial and error, but in the end I think it works well enough. I can see a few issues that still need to be corrected of course (like the slits on the side that go up a bit too high), and the dress probably still needs to be shortened just a bit. But the fabric I'm really happy with, as it's thin and heavy but still has kind of a soft look to it in pics.

Wow that's incredible and an amazing effort. So much better than the original hot toys version. Their are many of us waiting on Yunsil to produce a leia dress such as yours (which can be found on another thread). Getting the right fabric like you seem to have found is proving a very difficult task. Would be interesting to know where you sourced this fabric and how much of it you could get hold of? Cheers.

Huge improvement, Dave. And great job on the hood. That seems like it would be a pretty challenging section—you use a wire for that part?

Thanks. Looks though like Yunsil already found a fabric people are happy with.

Yeah it definitely took a bit of figuring out first, and analyzing how HT put their dress together. And it was too small an area for my machine so I had to sew that section by hand as well, which was a pain. I thought about putting in a wire, but the hood seems to drape well enough on its own. All it really requires is some double sided tape on top of the head to hold it down there.
