I gotta at least see the movie before I preorder. But with no exclusive I'll probably wait for the 20% off and double rewards. But that's if I like the movie.

That little figure is no more than $3, if that. Vision was $220, whole new figure, this is $15 more. I usually don't complain about HT pricing, this just seems a bit much.

I did not realize the Cap sculpt was sold twice, bad comparison on my part, then again that two pack along with the Stealth Suit is, Im assuming, selling bad, not that it really matters in this case.

I should clarify my maximum profit statement, within reason of maximum profit. If this was $300 I don"t think many would buy this, throw on $10, $15, $20 more no one really seems to notice let alone care. Not that the added price makes or breaks me, seeing the movie tomorrow, will probably go ahead and PO, but the small price increase is annoying.

That figure may cost 3 dollars to produce, though I doubt it.

And yes, vision is a new figure. With reused accessories. Dropping the price overall. It's also the 40th or whatever figure from the movie, thus the licensing cost for that movie is spread out over a lot more figures. For antman it's probably 2-3 figures.

I agree I would rather pay 220 then 235. But they don't just throw darts and a wall to pick prices. Otherwise the iron legion wouldn't cost sub 200. There are so many things that factor into a price. For this its not just a new figure, but it's a new figure, with light up features (vision doesn't have that) with an enclosed HS in a helmeted head. It's a first for lighted with the Face sculpt. Even though it's been done by customize before, adding it to a hand assembled and hand painted mass market figure adds time. Each few minutes of time if these to produce adds man hours. That adds costs. To keep the figures profits at the right margins some cost more some less.

I just wish there was an exclusive ant for mini AM to ride :sigh

Son of Liberty

I agree - they would have really bumped some sales if they added a mini ant as an exclusive. Not that I want to pay more as no exclusive means I can shop around for a better price. To me it just would have been a smart selling move on their part.

Just got back from the movie and...
It is easily now my favorite non-avengers marvel movie yet (by non avengers, I mean not an avengers team up movie)... the only disappointment I had is that there was no blackout version of the ant-man suit... I still hope HT makes one, because I still want it.

I've been feeling the same lately. Not even the price but just the hobby in general. I love the MCU and it's figures as much as the next guy but it's becoming so damn saturated. I'm not one to complain since I understand that it makes them the most money but lately it's just becoming boring to me. We get the same figures every single year, yet other licenses are left to dry and I get why they do it but it just doesn't excite me as much anymore. I'm going to hold off on a lot of the MCU figures until it's their final reiteration of it. Infinity War is most likely the next MCU movie where I get back into getting a bunch of MCU figures.

Really wish they would do some more exciting licenses that people are asking for.

I highly agree with you. It's tough with the prices going up and sadly I agree it's starting to get old and not so exciting even though I love Marvel. This figure gets me excited but it's near a time of taking a break.

Didn't the Ex and Regular Star-Lord figures sell out before they were eligible?
